News about Civ 3 Game of the Year edition

Don't know if somebody has already mentioned this. Provides some details as to what is in the GOTY edition.

Gee sounds a lot like the Limited Edition to me lol.

Civilization III Game of the Year edition announced



Infogrames will release both a new edition of Civilization III and the Play the World multiplayer expansion in October.

Infogrames has announced plans for a Game of the Year edition of Civilization III that will ship at the same time as the upcoming Play the World expansion. The new edition will include the most current version of the game (version 1.29f), three new game maps, a keyboard command card, a making-of video, and an excerpt from Prima's official strategy guide for the game. Civilization III was awarded GameSpot's Best Single-Player Strategy Game award for 2001 and was named one of the top 10 PC games of the year.

will the GOTY feature PTW in the box?

it would suck for newcomers to have to buy both if they want to play PTW.
specialy if they take regular CIV3 off the shelves.

Yep - I'd definately buy the GOTY edition if it included PTW. No point if it doesn't.

It say the game of the year edi. includes the lates patch, which translate into, it does not include PTW.
