1.29F patch problems
I had to install Civ3 new from CD. It worked, but after installing the patch 1.29F it now always ask for the CD and doesn't find it, althought it is still in the same drive and I call the game by the autorun or the installed shortcut on desktop.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling and then running the patch again. For some unkown reason this does the trick for some.
