What about events?
Yess, yess, this is a new What About Thread, for all those who missed me.
One thing which is missing from Civ 2 and I think is very important is the ability to set up EVENTS. Many scenarios use them, and none of them would be so interesting without them.
So... is there something new about EVENTS? Does someone know if they will come back?
PD.
I have a good piece of news for you today, FLAT MAPS will be back in PTW, perhaps there won't be Toroidal ones but we have the flat ones.

no scripting at all? That's a real dissapointment.
I was hoping that events could be used to fill in any little options that weren't possible with the editor.

That sucks alot. That was one of the major points that can make historical scenarios "historical."

And very useful to make scenarios which combine strategy and adventure.

looking to make something about pirates Kramsib?
I would have tried to use them to make it so that whenever you sunk another ship with the privateer you got some gold.
among other things

Miss events? CTP2 has a plenty... but it's too much for an average person to learn.
