Shiber,
What about this trade off?
/me gets nervious... a decision that'll actually affect something! I'm not ready for this,
We take one, two, three, and four. With the cash generated by number one, we upgrade number three to the Ivory plan (which I'm not in favor of either, but it sounds like we need to make lasting trades with Greece and Rome to ensure that they don't declare war on us, which would ruin the Persian operation).
Also, assuming that E_T's numbers are right about being able to reassign production, the Ivory option might have other benefits... I probably wouldn't go for it normally, but this seems like the best compromise -- it gets us
something out of option three (even at a high price), and also (hopefully) ensures that we will not find ourselves dragged into another war that could ruin our current plans. We should also be able to contribute a bit of money to the military campeign, while also improving Foreign Relations all around.
If we don't do the ivory option, then does Rome have
anything else we want? I really don't like the dyes for free option, lol, but I guess we could give it to them to forstall war.
Any thoughts from anyone?
