YOUR chance to get a FREE custom animated era-specific Leaderhead set.
Here's the deal, Shiber says the AI NEVER sends wandering galleys with settlers to scout for empty city sites.
I agree with =OptimusCeasar= (did I spell it right?), and believe the annoying French galley has a settler in it.
If you accept this bet, here are the conditions:
If the French galley drops a settler out of it, I win and YOU have to join and BE ACTIVE in the $Mini-game.
If the French galley has no settler in it, I will make everyone who has taken this bet an animated era-specific Civ3 leaderhead set of their choice. Tell me who, give me picture, describe what you want, whatever. YOUR decision.
Any takers?

I would lkie to join this bet although I have a better idea.
If there's no settler on the galley I win and I get to decide your sig for one week. Whereas if the galley drops a stlr off then you win and you get to decide my sig for a week.

GhengisFarb, the two opinions that you have presented are not contradicting. True, I don't think the AIs send wandering galleys with settlers, but I accept the possibility that there's a settler on that annoying French galley (and if so then I believe that the galley left France with a set destination, most likely the spot east of Sidon that Aro has pointed out, and is not just scouting for sites).

Ghengis, I'm not betting on something I don't agree with.
And regarding the chickens...

What exactly were you going to request for your leaderhead?
George W. Bush in a Speedo?

The french galley does not have a settler in it and I will take that bet. If you are right then you can also decide my sig for two weeks but if I am right then you must make animated Ariel Sharon and Yessar Arafat leaderheds.

I could do a Princess Leia, Ariel Sharon, and Yessar Arafat but only one per bet.
I thought you were going to quit the $Mini-Game, Shiek?
SO.............
Is the two weeks that the winner gets to write the loser's sig start from when we first get confirmation of a settler?

I accept your bet, GhengisFarb. I still haven't decided who I want a head of though.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a Settler team. I have seen the AI do it a number of times, often in unexplored territory, my territory. Territory that I haven't sold either a world or territory map of. I am picky about selling such maps before the map is explored enough.

Can you do me? Well I mean no "do" me. But create me? That would be interesting and fun! Then I can play Civ and go to war against myself! Or... you could give me massive breasts like the Jessica Rabbit model you created. WAIT!
Better yet, I think we could poke fun at parts of our administration! Much like a political cartoon. You can give MWIA or Unortho breasts!
Okay, I'm getting carried away, but I might have to consider taking up your bet.

you can decide to change my sig whenever you want. I could re-join the mini-game but I would rather do the sig thing. If I am right I am requesting Yesser Arafat.

I think that the settler is going to....
[taking a wild leap]
The French are sending the settler to NE, NE & North of Tyre. This is the only full place that they can go to. The Galley is now returning to France, It's two turns away from having dropped off the Settler/SP and is heading back for more. If they where going to put it on the end of the peninsula, the city would have been built by this turn. So I think that they are going to the spot NE of Tyre. France has a RoP with Persia, so they might take the quickest route, using Persian roads. We need to be careful of razins any cities or we'll have to deal with a French city in the way. Maybe bypass Sidon for now.
[/wild leap done]

The problem is we didn't see anything come out of the galley so at this point I'd have to say the bet is moot.

Hey if we're willing to load up an old save and try to figure out a way to force the Frenchies out of the boat great. Maybe giving them a map of Uber Island would send them out.

Good Idea! I want my Yessar Arafat leaderhead.
Actually GhengisFarb when we find out there is no Settler I would like a Sadam Hussien leaderhead.

Doesn't exist any savegame hack program to find out? And if we can check it in old saves, how do we know that any of the persons beting has done it BEFORE the bet?
Or maybe I'm getting a little paranoid....
