I need some clarification
Let me see if I understand this correctly, I installed CTP2
then installed the latest patch from Activision then
installed Modswapper as per the readme that came with
the SuperApolyton Mod then I'm supposed to change
the DebugSlic=Yes to DebugSlic=No through the following path \ctp2_program\ctp\userprofile.txt, or am
I supposed to launch CTP2 Apolyton mod first and then
change the DebugSlic because doing this
the aforementioned way I don't see a userprofile.txt in
this file. I do however see a DebugSlic=Yes through the
following path \ctp2_Data\default\gamedata\profile.txt,
could this possibly be the one you are reffering to? Or
as I stated earlier do I launch CTP2 Apolyton mod first
in order to establish the userprofile.txt within this file?
I'm not a programmer and although I've played a
few different versions of Civilization, I'm relatively new
to CTP and CTP2 (I own them both, as well as Civ3
which sucks IMHO, Martin if you don't have it yet you
can have my copy free, just give me an address to mail
it to) anyway, can someone clarify this please!!!

It has to be the userprofile.txt. I think the problem is that you've just installed the game. As far as I know the file is not there until you start the game for the first time, then it's written into the mentioned directory. So just start regular game, single player, have it start up until you see the settler, end the game and the file should be there.
(I could be completely wrong on this though - anyway I'm sure you won't hurt anything trying)

You are right - this will work.

Actually the same goes for the servers.dat file. The faulty one wont appear until you actually start the game and make it look for servers. Okay its best to put it straight into "\ctp2_program\ctp" beforehand but its easier to find when the broken one is there waiting to be replaced.

Re: Need Clarification
Thanks Guys!, I see the userprofile.txt now Will this have to be done now each time I start a new game?
Also! when I want to play with more than 8 Civs, Do I
change this within the same userprofile.txt, or do I change it within the profile.txt I mentioned in the first
thread I posted I know this has been discussed already in the FAQs, and in other threads and
I will endeavour to find this information again for myself
so please don't worry so much about that particular
question, I'm sure I'll find the answer for myself by
browsing over them (the forum threads) again. Also
does SuperApolyton support the lower levels of play
such as begginer or easy mode? As I said, I am somewhat new to CTP2 and would like to have a better
understanding of how the game works before I move
on to the higher levels of play. BTW does anyone know
If Dale has made any progress on the settler issue of
him wanting to return to his original location after
having moved the unit initially, I had this happen on my
first game when I tried to establish a city closer to a
river!

No - userprofile.txt - yes - no

Start thinking...

Just never give your settler a path order but move it with the numberblock on the keyboard. I think that should prevent it, as far as I know.

New Question
I have some ideas for some new mods or scenarios, but
unfortunatly, I don't have the necessary skills to implement them myself! Would it be okay to submit
some of those ideas to the forums in case somebody
else may be interested in them enough to take a crack
at developing them? They would be able of course to
take full credit for them! I would only want to have the
enjoyment of playing them!

Thanks centrifuge! I will submit one of my ideas very
soon, and hopefully someone will like it enough to try
and make it a reality.

If you roam the forums a little you see that there are many that post their ideas and hope somebody will have the time, desire and skill to implement them. Furthermore I think modders always are interested in hearing new ideas. Take the one for the hidden nationality e.g. - I though it was a cool idea and started to work on it. So go ahead and post your ideas!
And maybe you've got the time to learn slic yourself - it's not difficult at all if you understand what programming is and how it works, you'll just have to get to know all the little tweaks and trapholes of slic. Experimenting and posting your code asking others for help will quickly improve your skills.
