as pandemoniak (i think) said, we start out using the regular UN logo, then as we build bases, conquer, and discover, we add to it (like 1 star for every faction we conquered for example) based on our history
or at least that's how i understood it.

My heart goes out to TKGs flag, on account of it having a nice question mark, which I feel would be great for a demo game faction symbol, but in the end the Pande map is just so classy. Without the corny star, of course.
