It's my PBeM, so I'm not sure for certain, but I think it goes exactly as you described.

What's CMD?

Kirov:Experimented elsewhere, The way I 've described is the way it works. You get the opportunity to confirm your password after you've entered the first time.

Kirov: re CMD It shorthand I think for a moderator such as Tau or Mario

Mr Clever: Received turn. Feeling confident then.

Kirov:I think it might be a good idea now to start a new thread, naming the game and to report on turn taking. we would also copy in the contact details and settings at the start. What do you think. Each of us could suggest a name and you can choose. My suggestion 'Sixth sense'

I will launch the turn tracking thread in 2 to 3 days if that's ok with everybody. But give me thread name ideas otherwise it will be called something like the Universities Sixth sense.

Any views?

Also guys we might have to think about 60-90 minutes period some afternoon/night to get 5 or 6 turns in to speed up the game.

It is Kirov's game as he started and designed it. Kirov is playing University faction
There are six of us and I just added 'sense' after the film. "Universities Sixth sense?" That's all.
I don't think it is particularly brilliant so open to other suggestions.

Ok, let's wait for a few days for alternative proposals (simple '6th sense' sound good to me) and then either Herc or me can start a new thread.

Hercules, I think it would be hard to gather all of us in the same time, esp MrClever's time zone can be a big problem.

Tau Ceti have written to me that in his opinion (as it was never actually tested) cancelling the faction from alpha.txt by game creator don't need the others to do the same, and there should not be any problems.

That's fine. I work nights. I am up on the weekends until nearly dawn. If you'd said, "10 AM" then we'd have problems.

Oops, guys, I think we have a problem. DarthMaur had reported to me recently he found 7th faction, with stats like Miriam....
It looks that cancelling the appropriate line is not the proper way to do. I think we should launch another game. I have asked Tau Ceti how to do this, but I have also launched my own scenarizer and id doesn't work, so someone else will have to do our game (Hercules, could you do that?).

Once again sorry for this accident.

"...stats like Miriam...?" What are you talking about? And if we're going to restart, let's just do it.

Stats like Miriam I presume means Miriam characteristics : aggressive, fundy,+25% bonus when attacking. If not possible to edit out AI Ithink I may have a 7th player for Miriam. Regarding new scenario however I am totally inexperienced at constructing such a thing.

However maybe we could all live with the AI unless it is really too close to Darthmaur.

In any event I would feel it a shame after all this time to lose all you guys into the inter mist. So confrm your interest.

Kirov: I know you've spent a lot of time on this, please just a little more. you're so close.

everyone read the help threads about dealing with this Ok

Also lets wait for Tau ceti viewpoint.

Uh, i would really prefer not to have Miriam... (with Gaia portrait and Lal colours, but thats side issue )

7th player would be the best option.

Herc, I of course didn't want to resign from creating the game and I hope nobody else will resign. Either we have to find 7th player (rb103 didn't answer for my PM yet) or we have to make scenario, which a) I don't know how to make b) I'm not able to make, cause my scenarizer at every time I want to launch it. Both problems are easily solvable - Tau Ceti will inform me how to do a map, and Herc for instance will do the map.

I have asked someone to look in to be 7th player. Regarding scenario building map building/ I haven't a clue. And as my connection is not fully restored ( in that I am slowly putting back saved files and seeing their effect on my system) I would be unreliable. Also I am not confident dealing with alpha.text changes. Kirov you are in contact with Tau ceti. I will contact Flubber to see if there is a library of 6/7 player scenarios somewhere that we could use. An'off the shelf' scenario.

I agree with Darth Maur taht 7th player is the best option.

MrClever, have you ever started Sp game near Miriam? It's not the best possible neighbour on Chiron.

Herc, you're right with seeking any already-made scenario, but remember that we're customizing planet size, so we should use your method only when the other ways will fail.

About map size-if we are going to have 7 players, we should really use large map. The custom one was barely adequate for 6 players, IMO.

It's just that Kirov, above, said that Miriam is a bad faction to play, or to play against. I assume he means she's either too powerful or not powerful enough. I think he means she's too powerful.
