Official: Second Choice Tech
as per MWIA's (good) suggestion, we're going to have a second choice tech poll. this is in case the one we chose should be acquired by other means (pod, other faction etc). vote out of the big list because we don't know which techs will be available to us.
you choices this time around are: - Doctrine: Mobility - Command Center, Speeder (M2), Leads to Doctrine: Flexibility, Doctrine: Loyalty.
- Ethical Calculus - Democratic, Children's Chreche, Leads to Intellectual Integrity, Gene Splicing
- Planetary Networks - Probe Team, Probe Equiptment, Hologram Theatre, The Virtual World, Planned, Librarian (citizen), Leads to Industrial Automation, Cyberethics
- Secrets of the Human Brain - Hypnotic Trance, Fundamentalist, first faction to discover gains free tech leads to Neural Grafting, Centauri Empathy
- Industrial Base - Synthmetal (D2), The Merchant Exchange, leads to Superconductor, Polymorphic Software, High Energy Chemistry, Industrial Economics
- Applied Physics - Laser (A2) leads to Nonlinear Mathematics, High Energy Chemistry, Optical Computers

For the people voting for Planetary Networks........you *do* realise that we first need Industrial Base for that, meaning we can only get it in the unlikely prospect of popping Industrial Base from a pop?

Really? I thought InfoNets was the only prerequisite for PlaNets. What would you vote then? I suppose you have already voted IndBase in the other poll, thus not allowing that option.

Archaic, my tech tree states otherwise.
The only prereq is indeed Info Networks. IB is the prereq for four techs, none of them PN.

I agree with Kassiopea, my Tech Tree states otherwise : we only need InfoNet for PlanNet.
Lets research on that "planned economy", so that we can figure out what it means !!!

My apologies. The perils of posting at 1:43am. However, as TKG has already noted elsewhere, Plan. Nets will not turn up in the decision anyway, unless a pod is popped for a tech. Vote for it and you waste your vote.

archaic, that's what this poll if for. it's not a waste of a vote, because we only use the results of this poll if we get a tech from a pod. (i actually thought i named it "back up tech")
