Hotseat - set attitude - does it work?
I'm playing a hotseat game with 2 human and 5 ai. The diplomacy window has an extra button labeled "set attitude." It doesn't seem to work. When I set the attitude to Cordial to the other human, on their turn my faction appears as "Hostile." Same thing the other way around.

So, I wonder if it works at all. Is there any way to make it work correctly for other humans? Does it work for AI? Or does the computer just ignore this setting?

Note that I have MGE with patch 1.3. The readme file says hotseat diplomacy settings won't change when it is not my turn....

Okay, from my experience playing Multiplayer Gold, your attitude will change from what you set it to, due to the rival units in your territory, and the stuff like that, that will change the AI's attitude toward you. The same stuff will lower your attitude toward your human rival, or AI rival.

Does anyone know anything more, or something that I got wrong?

But that doesn't explain why it changes from Enthusiastic (my manual setting) to Enraged (the computer's change) on the same turn.
