since it seems to be the goal to go Republic asap units aren't the best thing to build...
interesting things would be buildings that create extra shields and extra happiness...(so our status quo doesn't take to long)

I think we should be building more temples. Happiness is tough to maintain in Repub. esp with no WOWs.

As we are for a defensive strategy to progress up to AC, why do we not try to build the Great Wall, to protect our growth up to metallurgy ?
