The Royal Apolytonian Geographic Society: All information about the maps
I'm starting this thread to make easy for everybody to find the maps.
Thanks, AdaMada!
Well, the link:
All kind of maps are in my site, http://www.arociv.com/Maps.html .
I'll edit this post with information about the maps.
By now, we have the World Map 170 AD, the Tactical Map (170 AD), the Empire Map and an amazing Population Density Map (by Reddawg)

This test is to verify the download times, to know if I can post maps directly here without harming.
Please, post your comments if you want.
The map posted here is of "Mare Nostrum" (Coasts from Susa to Odessa).
This is only a test! Don't be mad with me!

I'm on broadband, so it wasn't a problem for me (took about three seconds to load on the second time, but I didn't look for the first), but I could see some dial-up users being not all that thrilled .
Also, it's hard to see since it's significantly bigger than the size of one screen (at my resolution, anyway). Don't know how legible it'd be if it was resized down a bit...
Still, good idea Aro. It'd be nice to have maps directly on the forums.

EDIT: Yea, just did a reload from server, took about three seconds, but I've got a nice connection...

Yes, it's bigger then the size of screens. If I reduce it more, the text becomes illegible. In fact, isn't so legible now. In addition, I need to know how it looks for people WITHOUT a broadband... I'll appreciate if someone with a normal connection give me an input.
And thanks for the support, AdaMada and Jdd2007...

I've posted the map on my site, and paste the url of the image (in the button "IMG", above the text box). The image is not here, in fact. It's a link.

The small empire map is workable -- you can't read much, but you can get a general idea of where things are.

Thanks, Panag.
Yes, our Empire is divided in two mainly pieces. IMO, connect the french part with our homeland is one of the most urgent matters for the next term.

I have good ol' 56k connection, and the larger map took a couple of minutes to fuly load. The small map was no problem whatsoever.

GePap,
It's too much time, right? I did this test just to know if is practicable. What do you think about, should I continue with this try? I mean, could be useful have maps directly on the post, but if people can’t see it in a easy way, all this is pointless.
Btw, I can make the file a bit smaller, but not much.

I think posting a small version, as you did, and a link to the site ext to it telling people this is where you get the full version would be best for people with slow connections. The small maps ussually work anyway- but the libnk should be there for people to enjoy your full work, or Reddawg's

I’ll post a new one soon, Panag, from the new save. I think I know how to do this without take so much time downloading (for people with 56k connections)
