				Greetings from the Community

			Hello fellow civers,
I have come as a messenger from the 1BC civ site to establish connections with the people from Apolytonia. Our Community just started a Democracy Game and we would like to exchange thoughts and ideas about civ and DG. Like you, we also met the people from Fanatika. If you want to have more information about our DG site click here . We also set up a UN board where all people from all sites can post about Democracy Games.

May our settlers meet in peace,

Nalob

BTW. I am known as Bolan Longpants at the 1BC forum

Actually, see the directory thread at the top in a day or two .

I've started to get stuff up there, but clearly haven't gotten to the actual content stage yet . If you can find it, last term's directory thread was called something like "Term 3 Government and Directory Thread" by UnOrthOdOx.

EDIT: Link to last term's directory thread: http://www.apolyton.net/forums/showt...threadid=59225

			Well,
The UN is supposed to be a board for all civers that are interested in the DG and for intersite communications. The board is just up today so we might have some starting problems. The people from fanatika are also visiting our site and were interested in the UN concept. The UN might be the way to communicate regarding a DG between different sites after PTW is released. The UN is not meant just for 1BC members but for all civ addicts that want to make the DG into a worldwide game. I hope this answers your question. Feel free to post on this board.

Personally, I dont WANT subforums. It appeared nice to me at first, but when I have tried to look at other sites...
Go to this forum for military discussion, this one for role playing, this one for the Gazette, this one for Foreign affairs. I don't have time to bounce around all over.

I like it all where I can see it, in one central location, even if it seems cluttered at first.

I'm actually starting to agree with UnOrthO. At first it was "wow, subforms, awsome!" Now it seems to me that it'd just involve moving around more.
I wouldn't mind one subform for official threads (each Department's thread, plus the current executive ones), and one for general stuff. We could probably come up with one other subform categories that'd work as well. But I'm starting to think that Subforms for each branch would more of a pain than a benefit.

I'm sorry, but I think the 1BC forum stinks. The whole format is just not appealing and I think the game will reflect that.

That reminds me an Oscar Wilde s repartee to an elegant women who told him : I am so glad that we can exchange ideas, and was answered : Thank you, but I prefer to keep mines.

Completely OT, sorry.

I just established an Community embassy in another thread. About your discussions about subforums of course it has his good and bad sides. Most people over here are probably used to not having subforums and can find the threads pretty quickly. As a newbie at Apolyton, I had lots of problems finding out about your organization. For example I had difficulties finding your laws and the structure of your government. Probably experienced users will brows faster through the threads while beginners need more time.
We had lots of problems even before the start of the game. First of all because of the lack of a good constitution a lot of things were not clear to the citizens and the members of our assembly. The biggest problem we faced was the vanishing of our president and the lack of activity of our vice president. Both people were impeached and now we have a new executive team. After new elections we started the game and our new constitution is up. Still we have a lot of ground to cover.
