New Ministers and all justices (present and former)
If you have not yet named a city, please post below your desire. If you are requesting to rename a specific city, please indicate such.
We currently have (or soon will) the following cities which need names:
Cherbourg
Tyre
New Munich
Uber Island City #2
As we advance into Persia, we will gain more cities.
Plans are in progress to build more settlers, thus even more cities.
French colonies are expected to fall to our culture at any time, thus even more cities.
America shall feel our wrath, MORE CITIES
Greece is week and inferior, MORE CITIES
THE WORLD SHALL BE OURS. WE SHALL NAME ALL THE POPULATION CENTERS. I NEED NAMES PEOPLE. LOTS AND LOTS OF NAMES.

Kaupang (an old viking city) is fitting for one of the cities on Uber Island.

three suggestions
Springfield
Shelbyville
Bob
btw, i dont know how many people know this, but many North West Terriroty citizens of Canada did try to name their teritory simply "Bob" after Nunavut became a teritory all in itself.
my father has a tshirt with the ballot with "bob" as an option
of course.... it wasn't called Bob in the end.
but what if it were named Bob? I would proudly be a resident of Bob Canada.

I would like to chosse my name based on the city location (River City wouldn't make any sense if the city didn't have a river). Is there any chance I could name New Tyre (that's no the name - just the specific city site)?

I would like the right to rename persopolis. I have no idea what I'll name it, maybe McDonalds since it will have over a billion served with the pyramids, but that name might be pushing it.

I do not believe that justices can name cities (or at least they couldn't before). But if there is a surplus of cities and a shortage of names, why not .
Since I can't predict future cities, I'll list some names by geographic region. Listing a few for each because some people are pissy.
Portland/Freeport/Portsmith for any coastal city.
Balboa/Crown/AltaVista for any city in the mountains.
uh ok thats actually all I can think of. too.. much,.... college!

Reddawg.....
are you pushing to get the manhattin project built in any specific location by any chance........
Aggie - I think McDonalds is kinda cool for the pyramids.
GF - if you want to rename new tyre, just ask. Lets see what we can do.
Epi - the justices were not a part of the government when the rule to let the government name the cities was created.
Last term when I realized city naming was part of the CP job, I placed city name (existing) and proposed in seperate hats and drew to match. That used up all names that we had, and so far nobody has wanted to take cherbourg. Now with our conquests and expansion, and the fact that many people in term 4 have already named cities... soon I will ask the public. But I wanted any and every minister and other governmental person who can to get their name in first. I hate letting any of our cities keep the name some foreign dog stuck on the place. It is ours, and we should name it.

Reddawg - yep, it works. Any specific city you wish to name, or should I just place it in the hat?

The names Springfield, Oak Ridge, McDonalds in Pyramid-city and notthereeither are great! They're all nice, some are witty and they'd all look awesome on our maps!

Yay I forgot about this.
Can I name New Munich as I've always liked the location?
I was thinking of something like Opiadum but perhaps that sounds a bit too much like opium.

I'll take Cherbourg.....
Its a cr@ppy little burg, but hey....
how about Hole in the Wall, like sometimes you call a dive bar.
Let the beer flow in Hole in the Wall, cause nothing else will.

How about Hollywood? That's a cool name. Paradise City is also cool (named after a Guns N' Roses song). And how about Arkham (the Gotham City Asylum)? Kind of grim, but cool too.

For a city with all grassland in it's city radius and not one it has to share it with:
The Big Banana
.......our version of the The Big Apple.
A city we are getting ready to dismantle (I suggest Gordium).....
There It Was

thanx shiber, and I know I probably don't have too much say in wat Persepolis will be renamed to but my heart really yearns for "Let-That-Be-a-Lesson!" I just want the statement to be made VERY clear to all the AIs... hee hee

I think it's an excellent choice for a name, but McDonalds (proposed by one of the ministers because Persepolis has the Pyramids which give free granaries) is just slightly better. Sorry.
We'll do that with the next capital we conquer!

I agree, i formerly withdraw my proposal for persepolis to be named "Let-that-be-a-lesson". Let's just hope the storing of food in persepolis pyramid isn't half as bad as rat meat in McDonalds....

I like the idea of a Yin and Yang city. But I think for the full effect, they would have to be the 2nd and 3rd city of the empire.
