There are 5 culture groups:
Robot
Cyborg
Human
Clone
Mutant

They are all human "souls", the culture is basically how they choose to live their incredibly long, perhaps infinite lives:

Robotic body, expensive, but most reliable and safe. This is where the rich live. The tirelessness and sturdiness of the bodies allow them to be productive, and therefore more wealthy, than any other group.

Cyborgs mix robotic parts with cloned parts. The nervous (including the brain), skeletal, cardiovascular and digestive system are artificial.... the less essential systems are grown more cheaply in cloning farms. Their appearance varies with trends, sometimes they appear as androids and robots, others as human as possible.

Humans live as long as their bodies can handle, they are the "young generations" they can only live for 200 - 300 years before they must choose a new "culture".

Clones are where most humans prefer to live infinitely through. However, severe damage to a body before the replacement cloned organs mature can mean a quick switch to a robotic or cybernetic body, if wealthy enough, if not, a human could end up spending 10-15 years in the virtual world of memory banks waiting for their new cloned body (called blanches) to be ready for integration. However even after that, it can take another 5 years to readjust to reality.

Mutants are what the poor become to live infinitely. Their human bodies are bombarded with mutogenic substances, based on the needs usually of mining companies, weapons conglomerates, and technology companies. Then the mutated genes are cloned and mutated blanches grown to make sure the corporate investments pay off.

I'll bore you all no more with the history, But there will be links to lengthy read mes starting with age of solar expansion to the conflict between the Ancients and the neosapiens (known as the Solar War), to the Age of immortal harmony, and then to where this mod begins, the pentagenesis.



This is just an explanation of the cultures, and how the neosapien race began to form into 5 races.

2012 was the year psychotrancription was invented. The first unborn baby had a transponder implanted behind the cerebral cortex that year. His name was baby James. It was said to have cost $30 million cash to ensure baby James would have enough memory bank space, (even condensed, in a day a human took in over 60 gigabytes of information in the forms of the five senses, as well as emotional information. This was how psychotranscription worked. It required a recording beginning from birth. After 70 or 80 years, once the body began to get old, a cloned “empty” brain called a blanche would have the information passed into it. Basically consciousness would be loop from the brain, into the computer, where the data was recorded, and back to the brain….. the problem was it had to keep flowing. If it stopped for any more than 3 minutes the stream would break, and as little as one second, if powerful enough to knock the stream off rail, awareness would break, and memories and feeling would go from data interconnected with itself to hopeless set of yes’, no's, and maybes. This discovery became apparent in early experiments, where complete information from brains would be copied, (this would take up to 6 years) and written to a blanche. The subject would die, and his clone would be right there, with the same memories and emotions in the brain, yet, it would be obvious he was not the same person. It was even easier to prove that only one stream of consciousness could exist at once, when two exact copies of a person were made of each other…… same exact memories, feelings, bodies etc, yet.. there were obviously two separate individuals. Psychotranslation actually took the latent information, in the brain and could activate it, basically spilling the stream from one container (brain) to another. This allowed for old memories to be used, basically removing the requirement of recording memories from birth.
The immortals were the children of the rich, the powerful. Envy began to creep in amongst many of the mortals. Allegations that the technology of psychotranslation had been discovered arose. Rumors spread the rich were using this technology to grant themselves immortality as well as their children.
Solar Exploration
Over the 21st century, colonization of the solar system had begun. Wealth from mining had started to make what once were industries of curiosities, profitable ventures. Soon, tens of thousands of immortal children were graduating from college, their immortality paid for by the new-found wealth. Perhaps one of the most dynamic ages in all of human history, as generations of mortals lived aside generations of immortals. Mortal family members died, while watching immortal politicians and businessmen live on, aging then rebirthing. Mortal children suffered traumas, and passed away. Immortal children suffered deadly traumas, and were given a second lease on life as little as a year later in their new blanche. By the year 2096, over 20 million could afford immortality for themselves and their family members. The mortals continued to die off. The cost of immortality was really reserved for the wealthiest 0.2% in the solar system. Many people were born and died with the same senator representing them in the Solar Democracy. Many people did not comprehend or believe that the immortals all started from birth or even earlier, many believed they actually were psychotranslating, and keeping it a secret to keep the wealth and immortality for their families.
The immortals lived as if they could never die. Their decades of experience in the fields they ran made them leaders in their industries. Soon they were attaining a monopoly on wealth. Many no longer even had to work, retiring at the age of 150, and living off a hefty pension the rest of their immortal lives. The media danced in the glamour of the immortals. They were idolized by all. It was the hopes that one could earn enough for their grandchildren to be immortal. Parents worked 2 jobs each, saving only for their grandkids immortality. By 2238, 1 billion immortals were alive. It is also the year psychotranslation was invented by an immortal, Dr. Hala Nestro. The undisputed most influential technology ever invented. Now anyone could be immortal….. unfortunately it was even more expensive than the method of psychotranscription.
The only people who could afford it were those who were already immortal. The Immortals began to fear an uprising. Civilian weapons were banned Battle Drones began to be manufactured. Reporters and journalists were invited into the elite, many times given immortality for public relations purposes. Bankers were immortal, Insurers were immortal, stock traders were immortal, the press was immortal, the politicians were immortal, and buying up mortal votes by doling out immortality with tax dollars. Yes the giant screens showed glowing young beautiful people who were going to live forever. People felt safe. The governments, the economy was stable. No leaders wanted to risk their immortality with war. Peace was prevailing over the solar system. The wealth of the solar system was driving the standard of living to highs unimaginable in the early 21st century.
The Solar War
It took 1 year for the Solar War to erupt, a war to try and bring the immortals to extinction. A Russian immigrant on Io, known only as Joto had built over 30 cybernetic warriors, without any weapons except the hate for the system in which they lived burning inside of them. They trained for 20 years day in and day out. They seethed with rage for two decades.
An underground party known as “the spark” lasted for over four days, tons of illicit drugs consumed, strange, twisted dark cybernetic beats pulsed through he heads of the hundreds of thousands in attendance. Dances gave way to urban tribal rites of martial arts exhibitions. Joto appeared before them, welcomed them to his show, and unveiled his completely “legal” weapons. The crowd roared with hatred. Fists rose. The 30 warriors affixed plasma cutting torches to their hands, two each hand, slashed two diagonal lines through the flags of the thirty major powers of the solar system, and walked off the stage amongst the crowd, who beat and hit the 30 with their fists, crying out in a rage of repression, bloodying their fists against the alloy outer shells of the cyborgs, they screamed in anguish. The entire crowd wept for the rest of the night. The 30 turned, looked upon the weeping masses of youth, stood in a circle, turned to the man to his left, cut a deep scar with the torch in the face of his compatriot, when none of them grimaced in pain, quietly they turned their backs on each other, and never saw each other ever again.
A month later 30 memory banks were destroyed by cyborgs with $600 million each, posing as if they wanted to pay for their immortality. Over 350,000 immortal lives were lost forever. Every psychotranscription facility was destroyed. Dr. Nestro was found burned and cut to pieces. Neighborhoods flew the slashed flags of their nations over their houses, schools, and businesses. The governments of the European Union, the only 10 year old East Asian Trade Alliance, and The Nations of Saturn Luna, fell the first day in military coups. Hackers rushed in to undefended memory banks and wiped all memory from them. More powerful nations like The United States paid off their military with the promise of psychotranslated immortality…. Even though secretly they knew their capabilities to do such were destroyed Taxes reached an all time high to pay the Armies of the nations. Although small wars occasionally broke out between the major nations, they now posed a united front against the system revolution. Civil war spread throughout the land, mortals killed mortals, and drones killed mortals. Blood ran over every field, spilled into every gutter, and touched every child. The gift of immortality had turned into the curse of war.
Hatreds rose between mortals as comrades fell. Vows to fight to the last man. The economies came to a standstill, mines stopped operating, farmers stopped growing. Taxes could not be collected. The immortal world built on the foundation of mortal backs began to crumble. Many clone farms dried up, and many immortals were forced to replace organic parts with mechanical parts, some had to go robotic all together. The system population dipped from its high of 14 billion to 6 billion. The carnage would not end. After six years of war great Armies of mortals began to sweep through nations of the Earth, one by one they fell. Nuclear weapons were used sporadically, but risking killing one immortal was not worth the risk of killing 100 mortals, so unless reports of a total slaughter of all immortals was reported in a city, nuclear weapons were held off, although various gravity bombs, and neutron missiles were launched frequently. The mortal armies fighting for the immortals, known as “the ants”, began to disband and join the rest of the mortal forces, as they began to realize the immortals could offer them nothing.
Victory was soon in the clutches of the mortal armies across the system. Peace treaties with the remaining immortals began to be signed. The population across the entire system had dipped to below 20th century levels. For the next hundred years war wreckage recovery would be a very profitable business. Many immortals ended up dieing a mortal death over the next 40 years, as supplies dried up. Although mineral wealth was abundant, food had become scarce. Governments funding psychotranscription on babies ceased to exist, as anarchy crept across the solar system. Facilities still existed to support over 750,000,000 immortal souls. In some countries, the reward of immortality fell in the hands of the revolution leaders, and their armies, to be given to their children. Infrastructure, militaries, wealth and technological progress all ceased, as the only goal of those in power was to finish the transformation from homo sapien to neo sapien, to be the mothers and fathers of a new race. Fifty years later, the capacity of memory banks actually matched that of the birth rate, and on July 28th, 2250, there were no recorded babies whose lives were not being recorded in a memory bank…. (although it is widely accepted many ruined cities may still have had tens of thousands of children scavenging through the rubble, and unidentified). In 2279, psychotranslation was rediscovered, and in 2286 the last person, a woman name Anna Silva died at age 68 of a stroke while she was in the psychotranslation process. She was the last of the ancients. Every one was now immortal, their memories and emotions being constantly, digitally, relayed to central memory banks. It was done through a system of “guaranteed indentured servitude”, where people would work the first 150 years of their immortal life on a cloning farm, or in other immortality industries. The solar system was in ruins, many cities disappeared and were swallowed up by Jungle, or ice. Most colony starships were lost, feared destroyed after losing their microwave power sources from the system. A few survived but still had a century before they were to reach any inhabitable planet. The population was 4.5 billion across the solar system, and now immortal. No more conflicts could arise. A pledge was recited by all people, “ We have all passed through the valley of the shadow of death. We have all entered the heaven we made. We have nothing to die for, and eternity to live for.” A lot of re-building needed to be done. They called themselves a new race, neo sapiens.
Age of Immortal Harmony
Jan 1, 2300 held system wide celebrations. Now 5 billion neo sapiens were immortal, with a survival rate exceeding 95%. A new confederation was born amongst the over 360 various nations. The foundations for a great Empire were lay, with the capital being readied in Neo Tokyo. A common goal for all was established, as exploration and colonization of the galaxy became the new priority. People were happy to serve their time, to earn their immortality. Cybernetic and robotic bodies became more socially acceptable as softer, more flesh like materials were adapted. These bodies allowed workers to exist on high gravity, low gravity, toxic and frozen planets. However these replacement bodies were very expensive, and many times it felt as if one had worked 90 years just so they could afford another body to work in, until it was time to buy another. A less costly alternative was mutated bodies, they could also survive hostile, but less extreme environments, including deep sea and desert terrains as well as tundra. The mutated blanches also began to grow more and more expensive, as they became more and more specialized.
Tensions were rising between the 5 emerging cultures, robotics, known as humatons felt the practice of cloning blanches was immoral, especially the way which the humans and clones did it, through a process of inducing a strong sleep hormone to a human clone in a large liquid sensory deprivation chamber. Essentially the clone would sleep for 20-40 years, until it’s blanche brain was needed, then it would have the tenant’s mind overwrite whatever minimal memories or emotions it had acquired. A disturbing underground video was circulating wildly though, of a grown male clone crying like a baby, as nodes were attached to it’s head and it’s body was prepared to be taken over by a new tenant.
Humans and clones disliked cyborgs and humatons. For one, it seemed they consumed most of the resources. In fact for a humaton to have a child it cost nearly $3,000,000! This combined with the judgmental attitude of many robotic immortals made them appear aristocratic, and not in touch with the common worker. In general humans seemed to have an anti- status quo attitude, many grumbling about being a slave their young life to become slaves for some corporation which would charge them for a new body, and then hold over there head the threat of not giving them a new body, if they did not do as wished by the corporation or government.
The newest culture, the mutants, was generally disliked by all. Beside the fact they could be unattractive, they also generally were the cheap labor. Although some mutants began to nurture mutations of intelligence. It was hard to call mutants a culture, or a race, for they were the most diverse group of beings amongst the five groups of neo-sapiens. In fact there were over 10 million different species, amongst only 1.5 billion mutants. And most of these species didn’t like each other.
Of course for all the dislike amongst these emerging species, it seemed mankind’s worst scourge, war, had been eliminated. It was seen nowhere on the horizon. Most neo sapiens believed they had plenty of time to work out their problems.
It was known also known that “demons” from the past still lurked, immortals rich enough to buy their safety during the Solar War, but still bitter about losing the many family members who they were supposed to spend eternity with. A rumor of a dark Shogun ruling the underground was abounding. He was said to be the most powerful man in the world. Very little was rumored about him except that he was an immortal demon. Some said he kidnapped lesser workers and wrote himself over their brains yearly, to continue to mask his identity. Although this kind of crime could easily be detected in the main memory bank, many still believed the legend. It had been over 230 years since the celebrations of immortal harmony began. Neo Tokyo continued to ask for a central government, taxation system, and Military, for defense against possible alien or domestic incursions. However most governments did not care to pay attention to them. An attempted alien invasion occurred in 2532, the government in Neo Tokyo to get what they wanted. A central military, star armada, and taxation system was implemented. Of course that only lasted about 15 years, and in 2547, the confederacy dissolved into 386 shards of independent nations. Accusations that Neo Tokyo simply used mutants as aliens to try and bolster their power were the impetus for the dissolvement. A president in his 12th term of the West Pacific Democracy was declared Emperor by his congress and Senate. In the United States, a crime wave of illegal drugs and games began to dissolve the foundation of the nation, and cities began to slip from the control of New Denver.
It is January 1st, 2548. Once again powers are arising, freedom is diminishing, the neo sapiens are branching into five different races. Ten newly founded nations have established themselves on the planet of Sona Prime. A green lush planet perfect for colonization……

Dark elements are actually waves of the space time continuum headed in the opposite direction of the universe, at the speed of light squared. They are also allowed to occupy the same space, but only of "Light matter" Inversly, light matter may occupy the same space as dark matter.

These elements actually at their warmest are 0 Kelvin, and are the creators of gravity. They also have no mass, and only can be seen by the absence of light around them.They do this by creating an energy vacuum, so to speak, which pulls in light matter, (which also BTW, travels at the speed of light squared). Light matter pushes dark matter out in the light universe. This can be easily observed by lighting a candle. Scientifically proven in 2016 that the form of energy from a light bulb was actually moving a mere 20-25 (km/h)^2 "faster" than the speed of light squared(c^2 is actually the speed of matter). Light from Nuclear explosions were tested to be moving a more intense 2,600 (km/h)^2 "faster". Material from these explosions were traced, and found to be "vaporized" into light, and flung a small amount ahead in space/time.

It is surmised in the dark universe light behaves as dark matter. Some scientists imagine that these two planes are actually a small spectrum of an infinite amount of planes. They are mostly seen as mad scientists. Current theory as of 2549 holds that the universal planes are binary. Is or is not. The degree of "is" is the degree of intensity of light energy, the spacing and activity of electrons from their respective nucleus. The degree of is not is the degree of intensity of introversion of matter. How deep the protons of a nucleus pull in the electrons and neutrons, creating a density, but an undescernable matter to any one living in the light plane. This theory has withheld mathematical calculations for over 300 years.

The problem was having the technological capabilities to extract this matter, although it is not really matter at all, but more of a dark energy in terms of the light universe. But once a good deal has been extracted, it can be used to power a chronochryospheric freezer.

First a chain reaction must be started. This is achieved by first creating a nuclear blast tank. It is generally a titanium alloy sphere 4 to 5 km across, nestled deep beneath the ground. This sphere has about 2-3000 pipes 25cm thick, with a 0.002 mm opening extruding over a km from it. At the end of these tubes are superheated spherical chambers (called hot mits), well over 40m in diameter, with freon flowing through them to keep the earth around it from melting. The cavity inside the chamber is a mere 4 square cm. The inside of the blast tank is coated in Zirconium 94. (certain aspects of it's abilities to contain nuclear fuels make it an optimum element) The nuclear charge is set off. It could usually be pin pointed to a group of 40-50 of the hot mits where the one "chunk" of dark matter will be captured. When first isolated (2208), it was dependant on factors way beyond the scope of human mapping at the time, but to put it in a nut shell, it depends on the angle of the planet's travel in the scope of the direction of the universe. Essentially what occurs is the nuclear blast bullets vaporized, unstable, zirconium to the back of the hot mits.... 20 - 30% of the time ONE of these clumps of Zr 94 are blasted in direct opposition to the direction of the universe, and while travelling down the tube, fuses with dark matter. The superheated hot mit then uses intense amounts of energy and light to trap the dark matter, drawing all power from the the blast tank.
Blast tanks can usually keep this matter trapped for months. Much of the energy from the nuclear blast itself is stored in a generator. The next trick is extracting it from the sphere, without it causing a gravity implosion until it balances with the rest of the light universe, and the current planets gravity. This is achieved by cycling it through a super conductor. The actual expansion and contraction of the molecules create a balance of energy in the battery core. This creates an object that spins incredibly fast, but smooth enough to be manipulated for minutes with zero-friction grips. A slight imbalance in the energy core and the dark matter will slow down slightly, making it appear to hover. Technically it is creating a gravity field, that is not fighting the planet's gravity, but instead "sidestepping it", in other words it knocks it self a little out of synch with the speed of the natural dark matter creating the planetary gravity, or to re-phrase, phasing itself into a low altitude geo-synchronous orbit.

This is how anti-grav auto-vehicles were created. The first engines weighed(1) up to 7 tonnes, and could only lift 2 or 3 cm off the ground, but worse, the early models had an occilation of over 3m. Meaning sometimes it would be 1cm off the ground, and then would suddenly rise 2m, before leveling off and falling to 1m, all this within milliseconds. Enough to rip a person to shreds, or, if not strapped in to the vehicle, crush them from the ground as they were falling. Of course the engine had to be made efficient. Once refined, this technology was primarily used for military reasons, as mag level highways were much, much cheaper and efficient. This was the infancy of dark matter.

But the real jump came when chronochryospheric freezers were discovered. As universal motion was studied, understood, and mapped, nuclear blast tanks became more and more efficient. Being able to predict which direction in 3-d space was directly opposite of dark space motion made harvesting dark matter much easier. One hundred twenty years after its discovery, 130 cubic meters of dark matter had been manufactured. Thirty-six of these cubic meters by the United States, to create what had been proposed in theory, a dark matter dish, shaped like a half sphered bowl, and moved slowly to keep it gathing at the center dark matter trapped by the focused gravity. This focused anti-energy would gather a small, dense, black sphere the size of a television and the weight of a battleship in a week. Enough to create a gravity core for a small spaceship engine. It cost nearly $80 trillion. In one year it made $3 trillion worth of dark matter. The next year $2.7 trillion, even though output rose 4%, as the cost fell dramatically. In the next 15 years, six more nations would build generators. allowing the mass production of gravity engines. Enough to begin to cause potential problems with the Earth's orbit.
Once again America took the lead, and ventured out to create a planet around the nearest star, Alpha Centauri, where as much dark matter could be manufactured as needed, without fear of knocking the solar system out of synch.

Eventually, as space exploration progressed, the idea of a gravity pulse jump gate was engineered. Giant gravity wells being placed 10,000 km apart became the accelerator of space craft, and the rail roads of galactic space travel, as well as the brakes.

Crossing a living being, or first an object with the ability to observe results, to the dark plane is still a long off dream, (it is guestimated to take 10,000 - 20,000 years before it is possible), but it has become the most plausible potential for time travel.



(1) Dark matter actually has no mass, but the engines needed to control the dark matter are quite heavy, even with the most advanced alloy technologies. However when hooked to a gravity well, they become "weightless".
