Tell me who was the greatest civ2scn creator ever...
...so that I could take example of him (her)!
There were many more brilliant scenario makers that
I should place here but I may forget about someone
and stuff and You'd be angry with me, so if You wish
someone other than on this list, You'll have to post
his name yourself. these are those whose games I played
and whose names I remember.

Yup many excellent scenario makers here but i think i need to go with Captain Nemo & Alex Mor. Really loved Spartacus, 2194 Days of War and Red Front. All legendary scenarios with excellent graphics, playability and brilliant new ways to use Civ2 engine.

Good to see a poll being started on this! I voted for Captain Nemo and Alex the Magnificent. They really brought scenarios to the levels they are today.

I voted for Harlan Thompson, although it is rather a close call. I currently only have fan-made scenarios of three persons "installed"; two by Harlan Thompson, two by Jesúus Balsinde, and two by FavouredFlight.

Harlan Thompson ruled in the Old School of Scenario Design Days. I'd wager that he is the one who inspired the majority of designers into making quality scenarios.
Old School:
-Harlan Thompson
-Jesus Balsinde
Middle School:
-Stefan Hartel
-Captain Nemo
New School:
-Kobayashi
-FavFlight

I voted for BeBro, his Imperium Romana is really my alltime fave. I would put Nemo/Alex next and then Carl Fritz (aka Gothmog I believe and am suprised not to see). I am really shallow when it comes to scenarios though. They have to be visually pleasing in order for me to enjoy playing them.

Exactly. When I saw what Harlan had done with civ II, that got me started.

Jesus Balsinde was more insipring to me in that matter.
Mongols were great, but I didn't like Vikings that much...
Though in those times...

Shouldn't
Mr Temba
Dr Blackclove
Paul Cullivan
be in the list of choices (not my votes)?
I know of one (I think Erin is a girl's name?) female scenario author

Alex Mor should be in a category of his own, not attached to Nemo. Alex pioneered his own style, Nemo drew his influences from Alex. While you could say Nemo perfected it, and Red Front is the most widely celebrated sceanrio, Alex is completely genuine. Anyway, I still think Spartacus is the best scenario around.

What about "Unknown Creator of Gambia Scenario?" If name recognition is a factor, then he or she would rank up there with the greatest scenario creators of all time, as the name Gambia is as well known as Second Front or Mongols. And I think this was the first scenario to introduce flying goats.

Now listen. Originally I made a much wider selection, including Cullivan, Ellis, Temba. There were over 30 names.
But it was too much so I decided to cut it off drastically, perhaps too drastically... Now don't blame me. There's always someone to be added.
And anyway look - there are plenty of brilliant scenario creators here, and most of them haven't got a single vote...
No-one voted for anyone who was supposed to be added except for John Ellis anyway, right?
If someone wishes to vote for someone off the list, he can.
Of course, those on the list have better start as You don't have to recall their names, but as we see, it isn't helping them, is it... - and anyway if You think someone's the best, You don't have to look at the choices to know that.
Alex Mor should be happy that He is partially on the list
And He is winning this way - perhaps He wouldn't if He was a separate choice.
I voted for Jesus Balsinde.
Prometeus; all kind of interfering in other people's choice is prohibited!

Tough choice between Jay Bee and Nemo, but in the end I gave it to Nemo (who I sadly wish had made more scenarios).
What is this Gambia scenario BTW? I've never heard of it before! And further higlighting my ignorance of these illuminaries, what scenarios did Markus Eklund and Mathias Koester make - I don't think I've ever played a scenario by them.

I've voted for Jesus Balsnide, for 'El dorado' and the high number of high quality scen. But Jesus Muñoz, Stefan Hartel, Harlam Thompson, Jhon Ellis are also great scen-makers...

Mathias Koester made Vikings and Daroe.
Markus Eklund made Turks and Tamerlane not minding soem northern scn I think. They were very good but He is pretty
unknown, kind of Carl Fritz I guess.
Gambia is said to be the worst scenario ever.
I protest about mentioning it. I think that if teh guy taht made it is still around here it would hurt him. I think that if He was here, He was forced out by your vicious remarks. You are cruel. Bad. Ugly. I am great.

Markus Eklund's 1650 is one of the best primitive scenarios.
