You discovered a new tribe size 2 and with a temple
Did that happen to anyone else?

While in a stalmate with the egyptians my trireme discovered a small island with a hut. My musketteers went in and the message «You have discovered an advanced tribe» pops up.

When the city window opens I dicover that the city is alredy size two and it has a temple up and running!!!

My WOW are Leonardo and the Collosus.

Strange! (but very welocommed

That's unusual but can happen. I once got a hut that turned into a size 4 city with temple and marketplace.

Don't worry about, be happy!

think it is based on the year (# turns elapsed) you get it. early in the game you never get it (I mean city improvements). And usually later in the game there are no huts left. But if there is some left, there is only a small % of getting a city, but it will usually have something in it.

it seems to be turn-related, later in the game tribes usually aren´t size 1 anymore, improvements however are a luck but happen from time to time

Its definitely not based on techs... at least i dont think so... i did a test, opening all the huts on the world map after giving each tribe all the techs, on turn 2. All were size 1, no improvements, and yet later on they end up larger and with improvements. So it must be related to the number of turns elapsed, unless the tech effects only 'kick in' after a number of turns of course...

From my experience later on in the game all advanced tribes seem to be large and with a couple improvments.. usually theres only a few huts left on the map by then though so im not sure. I've never seen one in disorder, so i assume the temples and marketplaces are there for that purpose. I have seen a brand new city starving though. Started off size 4 and starved down to size 1.. located in a desert (although the city was on a plains square in the desert).
