Did we know this info before? I've been away for a while, and so could easily have missed it, but it looks like news to me...

The only 'missing' face is Hannibal. Hence, Speedy's "I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of Hannibal in any of our products" reply to my question in the chat.

The Korean stats seem to have been switched from Sci/Com to Rel/Com. Or perhaps the other way, if the pictures are from an older release.

Korean UU
Was the cannon replacement UU already known? I hadn't heard about anyone with a vanilla bombardment unit UU. Frankly, I never use any bombard units up until artillery, and even then, sparingly. Cannon are probably the worst- they show up at exactly the wrong time to be of any use. (Running down cavalry with your cannon? Yeah right.) Using them for defense is mostly a waste, as they'll only do damage to the first certain amount of units on the stack. About the only way you could make a cannon replacement useful is giving it a move of four with multiple attacks and boosting the bombard rate until it could take off two bars per hit. That would be rather scary, actually, but it'd be a nice change from the cannon as the useless unit that even the AI is hardly ever stupid enough to build.

Well, I haven't checked a historical picture, so I can't judge the realism, but I like the Hannibal head. Thanks!
What a pity I usually can't see any leader smiling at me: they usually are furious at me, or annoyed at the best.

Thanks, Jonah! Interesting pic. I like the way Hannibal was depicted. That's roughly how I imagined him to be.

Kim Il sung is the leader of north korea and does not have to do with anything about the era of korean civilization portrayed by civ3 PTW....
ex: "it's like saying, why is queen elizabeth the leader of england? I want Churchill".... same country, different era (and civ3 represents the first english civ) in ur case its even different country cause north korea and south korea obviously broke up.

again, this change is probably to reflect more of the civ era chosen by firaxis
modern korea is different from ancient korea. So this is my guess... firaxis looking at korea said to themselves, "ah korea, its that country where there's like alot of doctors and scientists(forgot which movie but they had trivia that S.Korea has the most M.D grads each year in any nation or seomthing) crawling around and playing pc games and everyone has cell phone etc (or what ever their reason is)... lets make them sci and comm". Then mayeb when they researched korean history a little bit for civlopedia they felt religious and commercial fit more well for that era of korean civlization... (although if you tell that to my family memeber them being nationalistic will bust out that we built first ironclad and printing press in the world, had influence in chinese breakthru in science etc.)
Im not quite sure if they changed from rel/comm to sci/comm or vice versa but my guesses are it went from sci/comm to rel/comm for the reason stated above. (Damn I would have played them if they were sci/comm, a good combo for being scientific partner in multiplayer but I guess religious is better trait in itself IMO so thats not too bad.)

Hannibal is no more "king!" Excellent! And I must say he cuts an imposing figure. Should be interesting to see him in industrial suits and modern outfits.
