I don't think it is dead... BTW, what was the subject of your column?

If it isn't dead, that would put it on the critical list.

Nah, The Column isn't dead at all. I assume Markos has been busy enough with the new chatroom and all the technical problems. And Dan is in general busy at this time of the year at the university, so it's just a delay. My submissions have been awaiting since August and early September, so I guess they should be published soon. I haven't had time to transfer my latest one from paper to PC.

Have you been looking for someone to work on the Column in terms of editing, posting, and recruiting? Or has there been no good submissions lately?

Like Ron said above, he has submitted a column already that has yet to be published. So that can't be the reason.

Where does it say that articles are soon to be published. Markos says that the column isn't dead, so my question is why then haven't we had any. Is it because he needs someone to take over and help him work on them or is it because there has been no decent submissions.
Now, you claim to have submitted stuff that has not been posted yet. If thats true and they are decent then why no column? Does he need help? If this is not the case then there is no reason not to publish your articles if they are as great as you would claim. That is all I am saying.

/me doesn't think we should let tniem off the hook that easily.
Seriously though, Markos probably hasn't had time / hasn't thought about it. I'm sure he will mention something about it soon. (hint hint)

All the submissions were approved, so I'm currently awaiting for them to be published.

OK, let me rephrase the question.
Is "The Column" in a state of current inactivity (ie- showing no signs of activity over recent weeks) with no obvious signs of displaying new signs of activity, in a manner normally associated with corpses and coma victims?

Markos is working on a new system for posting editions of "The Column". It is still in development and due to very busy weeks recently, both on and off-site, its implementation has been delayed.
So, to re-affirm what Markos has already said, no, "The Column" is not dead. Its return has just been delayed longer than originally anticipated.

Markos, take notes on this post. See how he actually explained the problem?

*ehum*
I'd like to take this opportunity to point to a promise made by Markos back when I submitted my first column that all entries for a certain period would recieve a free T-Shirt if any were ever produced.
Make mine a "4-year special", Size XL, please.

According to the "National Enquirer", The Column has been sighted weeping into a bucket in a Taco Bell in Wichita.
