IMPORTANT: Sell All Granary
According to previous save, The granaries are located in AGC and Del Monte. Since we have pyramid we can sell these. Granaries CAN be sold AFTER you have pyramid. OPD told me he couldn't but when I checked if I could sell in these 2 cities, I was able to. He must have been tired and checked a wrong city with previously no granary. I only got 7 gold from Del Monte, but this makes up 14 gold of what shiber says we lost from roman renegotiation....
MAKE SURE THIS IS DONE Because it's only 14 gold but hey at least it's something.

AGC yeah we could sell it but then we'd have to build one again
Del monte yeah sell it
I am sorry for not selling the granaries but I can't remember everything.

I forgot that The Pyramids is a continental wonder! I feel so stupid!
Thanks for the correction OPD.

We can sell all granaries that we already had before get the Pyramids, if I'm not wrong, without have to re-build them.

bottom line is during next turnchat, sell all granary in main continent. which is only del monte btw. del monte will not lose granary even when sold because pyramid will supply granary instead of the original granary that served as granary.
But AGC is not to be sold cause pyramid doesnt have an effect in that continent. Hope I cleared the confusion I created.

BFM: Once we have the Pyramids, the continental Granaries don't cost upkeep anymore. But Calc II is absolutely correct, sell the Granaries we have at the main continent ASAP.

Agreed, keep the Granaries on the main contientant until we take or raze the nearby Persian cities.
Then sell them.

ok not asap, as sir ralph said, theres no more upkeep, we're not in a rush to do this. Just dont forget it. It's extra money. And there's only one granary in main continental empire anyway..
Question: Will we be able to sell enemy cities granaries once we capture? I know cultural buildings get automatically destoyed when captured but granary has a chance of surviving the capture right?

Yup, thats right Calc.
Religious buildings are automatically razed, but granaries and others might well be captured instead.
(Some randomizer involved i guess)
What we need to do with the collected money,
is to rush up some libraries!

What's the point of rushing libaries right now?
Our Science rate is 0.
Rush Temples, Market Places, Catherdials if we are rushing social stuff instead of Knights.

I wonder: if we are able to sell the granary in Del Monte now that we have The Pyramids, why were we unable to sell the old Barracks as well when we got Sun Tzu's Art of War?
Is this some kind of a bug, or did we sell them and I just didn't notice? Or perhaps Sun Tzu's wonder is different in some way that it doesn't let you sell your old Barracks.

try zoom into a city and check each city and right click and see if you can sell.... i had to do this for granary and was half done until i realized I had save before we got granary. So, if you have a save before we got sun tzu you can check the names of city that had barracks then try selling there.

I don't think we can sell our barracks. I tried every city in the core area, as well as Ubergorsk (which I recall had barracks) and I couldn't sell a single Barracks improvement.
Why is it that we can sell old granaries but not old barracks?

I ordered the barracks sold with the construction of Sun Tzu.
I will order the grainery in Del Monte not this comming chat, but in the next one. Right now there are two immortals and one archer threatining McDonalds (that is the new city name) and I want to be sure it is firmly in our hands prior to selling the grainery.
Thanks for the reminder. Any and all help in the city planning office is very appreciated.

Plague Rat -
Nope. Each government official has had the opportunity to name a city. I named Macross City. Others, such as timeline, named "timeline" (funny how that worked out). Anyways, as City Planner, I just give the orders to the prez to change city name x into city name y, based upon what the ministers choose.
This term, the number of ministers that had already named cities was so large, and our occupation of uber island, persia, and the gaps by france that we have settled caused a large lack of appropriate names. Thus the thread asking the ministes adn justices who have not named things to do so. As many people other than the govt posted, and as we were lacking many names, this turn I picked names from the thread that were suggested and renamed all the Heathen Barbarian Cities. If people have problems with these names, I am more than open to changing them as appropriate. However, cities that were named by the approved (voted on method durring term 1) method prior to this comming turns I will not change unless the people vote and tell me to do so. However, it would IMO be an insult to those who named them to change them and I will in fact have to be forced to do so. I may not like the names some have choosen, but that is not relevent at this point.
Hope this helps you out.
GK

Godking, the archer and immortals are not sufficeiint to take persopolis, so I think we are ok in selling the grainery there.

GK-
Perhaps we should have an ammendment or something that spells out a process to "impeach" a city name if a large portion of the citizens want it changed.
Say 5 citizens have to request a city's name to be changed to a name they agree on, then the City Planner submits a poll which must pass by at least a 75% vote in favor of the new name.
This would give us a way to change really cruddy names that no one likes.

Well, ghengis and godking...
I once voted for timeline, in the good faith he would
not name a city "timeline".
That's not suitable as a city-name. It's just a plain nick.
And this convention is very antidemocratic and not constitutionalized.
We definitly need to make a poll about it.
Ok...
What options do we need to vote for?
