which tribe? they are called nations in this game...
anyway, we could cut one of the american civs, that region have already gotten 3 civs. or they could add some more civs, duh, the game only takes 300 mb, they can definately make it bigger by adding some civs.

Ok, nations, fine. Of course after you say that you refer to them by civs, so I guess you aren't that obsessed with sticking with one term...
Look at what I already wrote, no you cannot simply add another one. Each nation has to be balanced to the rest of them to make sure that there is not a huge advantage by using one of them to another in single player. Plus, it would seem that they choose nations based on what other nations they have in the game so that there is a diverse option of ways to play the game.
So I guess you want to get rid of one of the American nations (Aztec, Mayan, Inca), which one? And why should another one be added to Europe where there are already 7 European nations plus the Egyptians and Turks, which are just next door.
P.S. I am not saying that I wouldn't have included the Vikings but at the expense of who?

6-7.
no matter how good it is, i doubt it (or anything, short of a sequel) could replace SMAC (or BRAC ), and i still play that.
as for good previews, that really doesn't say much. just look at civ3
/me spits on civ3

Probably an 8. Since I've talked to some people who have the beta, and did make a wrap-up of recent RTS games I played, seems like RoN will be my new favorite. All in all, it has that AoE meets Civ thing...
I'll definitely buy it as soon as I can.

I hate RTS but would buy this. Like somebody said, if it slows down once in a while and allows me to think instead of being a glorified reflex test. Give it a 7.5.

Warpstorm,
When I buy RoN, it will be the first RTS game I've bought since I discovered, er, Civ2. Was Gettysburg any good?

I liked Gettyburg, but it was different from most RTS games. It covered just one battle and was very tactical. The graphics are very dated by todays standards, but AI had a bit of fun with it.

But EE got old sooooo fast. I can only kick the comps 4ss on those limited amount of map style only so much... you know? And EE was still just a RTS fastest-click competition. I'm hoping there's more strategy and less emphasis on micro-management.

The truth is I don't even know what the game is about so I can't really vote on it. Can I?
