Collectors Tin
So is there any news of Two versions of PTW? ie one with a tin box and one without? For those of us who didn't buy civ3 cuz they didnt' want to pay twice.
And for those of us who would love to have that nice tin!!

I can see it now, a special CD of the making of the game and music from the game. Of course it'd also have figurines of an Archer, Knight and Tank

It's a rather fetching tin, and it holds lots of M&Ms.

Wait 6 to 12 months. I'm sure there will some kind of combo release for some lesser amount of dollars.

I concur. I like the tin a lot. Of course, I tend to collect trivial like that so I'm probably in the minority.
And the CD with Sid giving piano lessons to his kid? Man, that was the icing on the cake!
Seriously, though. If I had to buy CivIII--which I did--I'm glad I bought the Collector's Edition.

That is very sad. Sadder still if there were many M&Ms lost in the catastrophe.

I dunno if this is appropriate to be discussed but, most likely it wont require original cd. So give it to your friend, have him buy two ptw and let him keep the civ III and give him a ten dollar gratuity for getting you ptw.... at least thats wat i plan to do...

this reminds me of something.. Ever fell of a bunk bed anyone?..... any one? Ah well I guess Im the only one. I've been up all night writing a long @$$ essay for my World War II history class and when I tried to get up for class, My brain was only semi functioning and my motor function virtually non-existent that I ended up rolling off the bed when I meant to get up and get down. I didnt have any serious injury other than sprained ankle (landed with left leg first) and some muscle pain on my left leg, since I ended up crushing it with my own body. My roomate was barely waking up himself and that woke him up good. Needless to say I woke up after that incident.
I ended up getting an extra day to do the assignment since I legally missed the class. And he wrote on the bottom of my essay "Next time try sleeping closer to the wall"
That was one that goes to my album of "stupid college experience".............

No way you need two drive to play the game
Start the game as PTW, then insert Civ III original to check you have it, then you're playing. I bet this will be the solution: anyone remember how SMACX expansion worked over original SMAC?
I only had SMAC, but I remember some glitches with disk protection changed by SMACX over original SMAC install...

I would hope that just using the Play the World CD would allow you to play PtW.

Don't worry.

I wasn't worried.
I know some people may have taken it to heart, though.
