The Jungle Gazette: Name the War Contest II (again)
OK.
Name the war.
By this I mean the entire war, from our declaration on France down to the last stinking hole we drive the Persians from.
The American war, if it should happen, will be seperate.
Rules:
No Negative suggestions will be considered. I have never published a negative story about the Government or our decisions, despite my own feelings, and I am not about to start. So keep you 'great mistake' and 'needless violence' suggestions to yourself.
Top five candidates will be polled on.
All editors, past and present,(currently myself, Tassadar5000, Donal Graeme, and Shiber, may have another before this is done, though) will help me determine the top five.
This will be open for suggestions for 5 days, then we will choose five and poll.
Winners will recieve a collectors edition of our first issue. Stored in a sealed case, and specially processed to prevent deterioration. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Estimated value: 300 Lyton
So come and claim a piece of Apolytonia's history!

Are we to consider the Persian campaign to be separate from the War with France, or is this the final act of the war begun so long ago? That important point must be made.
If its all one War,as a name for thr whole war; then either: The Franco-Persian War, or the War of the First Coalition. For just the Persian part: The Eastern Front, the Great Eastern Push, The Drive East.
If the war with Persia is by itself: The Drive East (again), The Eastern War, the Blue-Gray war.
EDIT: sorry UnOrthOdOx for missing your point about it being just one war. My bad.

The Six Hundred Years' War (from when we declared war on France to when we make peace with Persia, give or take 50 years). If it goes on longer, the Seven Hundred Years' War, or simply the Long War.

When did the war start? I am thinking that we can call it the War of (input date here). That would give us a single date to associate with the war, because the possibility of another long war is up in the air(you never know...)
Also, we can call this The Great Patriotic War. Or perhaps The Great Repulse War. Another possibility is the Tri-Partite War(not sure if I spelled that correctly). More ideas to come.

The Russian name for World War II? Yeppers.
I still think that, if we have another really long war (stretching over at least an entire term), we can call it the "Second Long War" or somesuch.

War of the Wonders works for me! However, rather than saying War of the Wonders, maybe just War of Wonders... as in there were many more wonders than just the three we have now, like why the Germans bothered to declare war on us, and wondering what the Persians did with their army, and what France payed to get them on our side, etc.

name that war
well, being new to the democracy game, I'm gonna have to trust the history buffs and say if this war has really gone on for six hundred years, we go with "The 200000 Day War" (thats 364.25 x 600 and I'm rounding down) along the line of Vietnam's 30000 Day War which started with the French (ironically) and ended with the pull out of the US.

War of Wonders sounds good, with the acronym of WWI, but lets go ahead and continue with this train of thought.
Why not World War I? IIRC, almost every nation in Upper Abananaba was involved in more then one war.
Apolytionia vs France, Germany and Persia
Greece vs Aztec and England
America vs Aztec and England
I don't remember if an Abananaba Minor country was involved in the Greco-American vs Anglo-Aztec war and I also remember something about a Germanic-Abananaba Minor war (might have just been discussion). In any case, all of Upper Abananaba was in major Strife. And seeing as Upper Abananaba probably has most of the land in the world, it could conceivably be called World War I.
History note: the entire world was NOT involved in WWI, just the major powers, and yet it was still called WWI (I know, it was called the Great War and The War to End All Wars)....
Hey there's an Idea... since we don't want to fight any more major wars for some time, why not The War to End All Wars? This would make the DIA happy I think

The War of jdjdjd's . . . Ear?
IIRC jdjdjd was in France just before the war started. Wasn't he expelled for certain transgressions, which expulsion was cited as the proxima casus belli (along with other grievances) in the declaration of war.
