Wat are "elimination" and "regicide" game modes???
I`m a single player veteran (just love Deity ), but a MP rookie... So, a little newbie question...
Wat are those options "elimination" and "regicide"?

They are two new loss conditions (not victory conditions, loss conditions). In an Elimination game if you lose any city you are removed from the game. In a Regicide game you have a King (or Queen) unit on the map. If this weak unit dies, you are removed from the game. Either of these change the game dynamics a lot.

Actually not one, but some, AFAIR.
Or am I talking about "mass regicide" ?

That's Mass Regicide. I think it's kind of pointless, because (I think) your best bet is to put all your eggs in one basket and protect it with all you've got. This then becomes the same strategy as Regicide. If there was a benefit to separating the Kings, maybe my opinion would change.

You have to separate them exactly to prevent a mass attack on the city that is holding the kings. I guess.

But then you have to protect more places from the same humongous stack of attackers. I guess you could hide one somewhere in the boonies so that they have to kill everything to wipe you out.

No, the strategy exacly isn't to keep it in city I believe. Keep it in some mountains with one defending army would be better, because enemy's intelligence wouldn't know where the king is, also, mountains provides more defense. If you are playing mass regicide, then you could put another king on transport ship protected by several other ships maybe. This way opponent won't realize where king is even if he would see your move. Also, transports has many movement points so you could easily run if beseaged.

What happens to the remains of your empire when you lose a city/king?

Seems like fun. I`m especially looking forward to playing some of those Regicide games.
