Not much to report. Just giving speeches from balconies, strutting around, making the trains run on time. That sort of thing. Got my head shaved, too. Chickened out on the navel piercing thing, though.

Further French millitary movements into the low countries will be regarded as a declaration of war...

First Minister Caspian of the Royal Turkish court is proud to announce the signing of the "Treaty of Thessalonica" with the benificient Prime Minister Metaxas of Greece.
This treaty binds together our foreign and economic policy and is designed to revive our flagging economies. We wish to nurture the friendship of our good neighbours and stay out of any foreign conflict. We feel that this is the most conductive way to establish international trade. Each nation still conducts its domestic affairs as it will.
A common currency has been planned to take affect from July 1940, just after the innauguration of our new parliament in Thessalonica, which we would like to invite representatives from all the great nations to see
A referendum is being held in Iraklion on the the island of Crete, as the mixed Turkish, Greek population have yet to decide who will run their domestic affairs. This a peacefull end to the centuries old conflict that has existed between these two ethnic groups.

Oops, forgot to attach game.
Here are some news clips from the international press translated into English
El Pias:- "....A bold and honourable experement in a world full of uncertainties..."
New York Times:- "...and it warms my heart to see such co-operation and friendship in Europe. Perhaps there is hope after all..."
Scotsman:- "No longer can it be said that Greece and Turkey are the sick old men of Europe. They move forward with hands held into a bright new future. The Scotsman has hired a special Bagpiper to play at the innauguration of the parliament, and present a customary Haggis to all of the representatives"
incoming message.stop----- new law.stop------Metaxas has announced.stop------ All Bagpipers will be shot.stop.
The Daily Turk:- " Premiere Caspian welcomes all foreign support, especially that of Scotland. He was quoted as saying 'If the Scotsman REALLY wants to send a bagpiper, then let us make a customary offering of dogs entrails to all its employees. In a gesture of goodwill of course'"

By the way FMK when I check my military advisor, it says I am producing about 251 light tanks. Does anyone else have this glitch?
"The Turkish-Grecian army is currently travelling up and down the country performing a military display, re-enacting the the historic battles of Alexander the Great and Daruis for the amusement of the civilians. Here you can see the Battle of Issus taking place. The planned tour will start in Thessilonica and continue through Greece and turkey
[Edit] Blast, I can't post the image I've created!!

Capitan Paulov has announced his joy over these two ancient nations joining up. He hopes this will save the people of Greece and Turkey from the horrors of war. He is glad to see that the Mediterranean has remained an ocean of peace.
In other news: Capitan Paulov has announced his joy over the new tapas-bar that has opened close to the presidential palace. He hopes that this will save his stomach from the horrors of hunger.

I have seen this glitch before, but a quick run through several savegames in various scenarios didnt turn anything up. I dont have any idea what causes it and 256 would make more sense, but just ignore it.
