I don't have a problem with xpacks, so long as they are worthwhile.

But there have been a lot of 'stand-alone' xpacks and regular xpacks that are just a waste of money. In fact, the stand-alone (NOT Stallone :P ) idea is fairly widespread these days. Games like Shogun:TW, Starfleet Command, Earth 2150, and others have stand-alone xpacks, which can be nice for first timers to a game; though it makes higher prices and limited content for them seem justified too.
