Which new PTW civ do you plan to play your first game as?
See topic, my vote is for Carthage. They have always been my favorite civ in any civ game. Plus their Numidian Merc seems like an interesting and well-named unit.

I like the idea of early marines (Vikings have right?)
we will see if it is as nice as I think it would be (it would be on a water world of course)

Bananna Republic - I prefer purely random games.
But the Celts sound fun!

The Celts I suppose. I don't know why, they just seem cool to me and their UU sounds cool. I'll try them all out pretty quickly, though.

Vikings, definately. Then Celts, and maybe Carthage. Ooh! and Mongols!
I'm going to play a game with expansion civs only(as Vikings)

I'm going with the celts but before even viewing hte results or reading what people write I'm going to guess it's going to be close between Celts and Vikings and maybe the mongols or something. I loike the celts because I don't usually use a navy until later in the game and that means the amphibious assault of the viking guy doesn't help me, and I don't actually use longbow men much although maybe with them I will.

Vikings. That early marine is a huge advantage. Taking cities from the sea before the advent of rails and instant counter attacks is rather handy.

Hrm either Spain or the Mongols, I'm not sure which yet. Since I haven't tried a Mil/Exp Civ, it'll probably be the Mongols though.

Celts first, then Spanish
First to kick Roman butt, then, to "conquistador" the Aztec warriors.

Banana! Actually, since you didn't provide the option: RANDOM.
It's all part of the variety, just as with random maps.

Maybe, but I'm hoping we'll get a leg shot of Isabella, so I don't want to play them.

There's no doubt about this one. I always play as random...so where is that option???
Though I also know, if the random civ ends up being Celts (or as the changes now: English), I'll restart the game...

Probably Mongols. However I am not all that thrilled with the new civs and will probably continue to play as Japan or Isreal (which I added to the game).
Thats a good idea. Maybe I will try that.

Well, the Celts. I'm too Celtic not to play the Celts...besides, Brennus looks neat. What more can I say?
I myself am pretty happy with the choices for the game (heck, these civs are neater than the originals, except the blasted Arabs, that is).
However, in my second game I'll be playing the Vikings...there is no doubt of that...

Spain, of course...I only wish that there were more indiginous nations in the New World...we need the Inca, Tewa, Apache, Navajo, Hopi & more First Americans nations in order to make any kind of Colonization-era game interesting. I mean, it would be a little bizarre to have Spain crossing the Atlanic in 1492 to conquer...The United States??
Of course, it's up to the moding community to come up with these other nations. The tough part is the UU and the leader portraits.

Aztecs of course
I haven't researched what new civs they are. So I have to stay with the tried and true.
