How stupid can you possibly be?
Read the whole thing. The guy is host and he's telling me it's the worst lag of his life and that he's never lagged so bad with someone before. Talk about stupid.

To Dictator Narz (4000 B.C.): 2 techs
From Dictator Narz (4000 B.C.): no techs here, don't worry about it
From Dictator Narz (4000 B.C.): what are your techs?
To Dictator Narz (4000 B.C.): Alphabet and bronze working.
From Dictator Narz (4000 B.C.): ehh, I'll be ok
From Dictator Narz (4000 B.C.): lot of lag...
To Dictator Narz (4000 B.C.): Only from you. I'm on a cable.
From Dictator Narz (4000 B.C.): me too
From Dictator Narz (3850 B.C.): you got two settlers???
To Dictator Narz (3850 B.C.): No.
From Dictator Narz (3800 B.C.): oh, lucky hut
From Dictator Narz (3800 B.C.): I should've explored more...
To Dictator Narz (3800 B.C.): Yes.
From Dictator Narz (3750 B.C.): wow n oter Civs, never played a game like that b4
To Dictator Narz (3750 B.C.): Rookie.
From Dictator Narz (3700 B.C.): not really
To Dictator Narz (3700 B.C.): I was under the impression I was playing someone with at least half way decent skills.
From Dictator Narz (3700 B.C.): I like to play with 7 civs
To Dictator Narz (3700 B.C.): Rook.
From Dictator Narz (3650 B.C.): you are very cocky, I can't wait to beat you despite your huge starting advantage
To Dictator Narz (3650 B.C.): Keep dreaming.
From Dictator Narz (3600 B.C.): man, your connection sucks
From Dictator Narz (3600 B.C.): so slow
From Dictator Narz (3600 B.C.): after this, to make it fair, lets play a bigger map with 1x1, you have two cities plus chariot already, how can I compete, can you survive when your opponent actually has time to prepare
To Dictator Narz (3600 B.C.): So basically what you're saying is you can't compete on a 2x2x small map.
From Dictator Narz (3550 B.C.): its alot of luck, even you admited that
To Dictator Narz (3550 B.C.): No, I didn't.
From Dictator Narz (3550 B.C.): lucky hut got you a jump start, I'm sure your chariot is from a hut too, I doubt you could last on a larger map where luck was not as much of a facotr
To Dictator Narz (3550 B.C.): Which is why you want 1x1x as well.
To Dictator Narz (3550 B.C.): But that's ok, I play all settings.
To Dictator Narz (3550 B.C.): And on 1x1x I've lost 1 game ever.
From Dictator Narz (3550 B.C.): ok, it will be two soon
To Dictator Narz (3550 B.C.): I don't think you understand out outmatched you are.
From Dictator Narz (3550 B.C.): when someone talks without knowledge I tend to ignore them, being as you've never played me b4 I will ignore your boasts
To Dictator Narz (3500 B.C.): You said you like to play with 7 civs, you're obviously a rookie.
From Dictator Narz (3500 B.C.): again you speak with no knowledge just opinion
To Dictator Narz (3500 B.C.): No knowledge? You idiot, do you even know who I am?
From Dictator Narz (3450 B.C.): now you must get insulting, you have no knowledge of me or my experience
From Dictator Narz (3450 B.C.): next game I will host your connection is too slow
To Dictator Narz (3450 B.C.): You are a ****ing rook and you're wasting my time.
From Dictator Narz (3400 B.C.): so, fine, after this we will play small map again, 7 civs, 1x1 and then you can talk all the smack you want if you win
To Dictator Narz (3400 B.C.): Sorry, but I don't play rookie settings. I'll play you 1x1x Med map no AI.
From Dictator Narz (3400 B.C.): fine
From Dictator Narz (3350 B.C.): I don't see how AI will cramp your "style" but whatever
To Dictator Narz (3350 B.C.): lol Stupid ****ing rookie. Go post that on Apolyton.
From Dictator Narz (3300 B.C.): I'm not interested in Apolyton, too many arrogant ****s like you
To Dictator Narz (3300 B.C.): Then go back to Civfanatics where all the rookies are.
From Dictator Narz (3300 B.C.): at leat I can admit 2x2 small map is all luck
To Dictator Narz (3300 B.C.): Which is why you're getting your ass kicked.
From Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): our 2nd cities both from lucky huts
From Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): I'm sure most of your military from huts
To Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): 2 units from huts.
From Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): 4 moves for a horse, c'mon
To Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): Stupid rookie. ALl ladder games were conducted on this setting.
From Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): a horse can pop 3 huts in a turn make a huge difference
To Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): Obviously that's the point.
From Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): I'm not interested in your ladder, I don't need others to tell me I'm good
To Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): I can't help it you don't know how to play this setting because you play your rookie settings.
From Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): thats the point? so luck is everythign?
From Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): its ok, I will crush you next game, if not this one as well
To Dictator Narz (3250 B.C.): You're beginning to annoy me rookie. Go back to civfanatics where you belong.
From Dictator Narz (3050 B.C.): is this game froze?
To Dictator Narz (3050 B.C.): No.
To Dictator Narz (3050 B.C.): Why don't you just give up since I have 4 times as many cities as you.
From Dictator Narz (3050 B.C.): listen, to save time, how about a give you this game and we play a 1x1, medium map one and if you still beat me then you can brag all over town
From Dictator Narz (3050 B.C.): that work for you?
To Dictator Narz (3050 B.C.): Yes. But I don't see the point in bragging about rookie bashing.
From Dictator Narz (3050 B.C.): ok, I will retire 1st
To Dictator Narz (3050 B.C.): Obviously since I'm host.
From Dictator Narz (3850 B.C.): any techs?
To Dictator Narz (3850 B.C.): lol Moron. Only the host gets techs.
To Dictator Narz (3200 B.C.): By the way genius, lag works both ways since pings are the same between two computers. Therefore since I have no lag this game you had no lag last game.
From Dictator Narz (3150 B.C.): if you say so
To Dictator Narz (3150 B.C.): If I say so? It's a well known fact but you're too stupid to realize that.
From Dictator Narz (3150 B.C.): I still have lag this game genius
To Dictator Narz (3150 B.C.): lol Dumb****. Host doesn't experience lag you ****ing idiot.
From Dictator Narz (3150 B.C.): funny, but your facts are wrong because I did have lag
From Dictator Narz (2950 B.C.): hut city?
To Dictator Narz (2950 B.C.): Yes.
To Dictator Narz (2900 B.C.): Are you going to call this setting luck too?
From Dictator Narz (2900 B.C.): no
From Dictator Narz (2700 B.C.): got bronze working?
To Dictator Narz (2700 B.C.): Yes.
From Dictator Narz (2700 B.C.): masonry?
To Dictator Narz (2700 B.C.): No.
To Dictator Narz (2700 B.C.): Why?
From Dictator Narz (2700 B.C.): want it?
To Dictator Narz (2700 B.C.): ....
To Dictator Narz (2700 B.C.): No.
From Dictator Narz (2400 B.C.): you should see this lag, its terrible
From Dictator Narz (2400 B.C.): I got cable modem and never had trouble with anyone else
To Dictator Narz (2400 B.C.): Wow, I am really speechless as to your stupidity.
To Dictator Narz (2400 B.C.): You're the host you idiot. HOST DOES NOT HAVE LAG.
To Dictator Narz (2400 B.C.): Do you really think I'm going to believe that ****?
From Dictator Narz (2400 B.C.): ok genius
To Dictator Narz (2400 B.C.): Just shut your ****ing mouth.
From Dictator Narz (2350 B.C.): you are wrong, you facts are flawed, you need to get out more, you are not the civ expert you suppose yourself to be, but I suppose you are better at it than real social interaction
From Dictator Narz (2350 B.C.): I'd love to see you talk to talk all this **** to me in real life
To Dictator Narz (2350 B.C.): To you I probably would.
From Dictator Narz (2350 B.C.): probably not
From Dictator Narz (2350 B.C.): but its a silly argument, you're safe behind your lagging console
To Dictator Narz (2350 B.C.): Here, go read this. It might help you. http://www.civfanatics.com/civ2seanl.shtml
To Dictator Narz (2350 B.C.): I wrote it a while ago.

Perhaps the lag is caused by figjam running the game through a super computer.

2 observations.

1. I'm surprised that after the nicasor challange thread that Narz STILL didn't know that only the host can get techs. Not very sharp.

2. I host a lot of games. In the past, host lag maybe happened 1 in 50 games. In the last few months I have experienced it much more frequently. When I am experiencing host lag, I can usually count on multiple player drops sometime during the session. I have no explaination.

Not really.

Eyes hosted the first game
and Narz hosted the second game.

For the record:

I host and get lag all the time. I'm on modem, not cable, so I don't know if that makes a diference.

Non-host can get techs if there are AI's in the game. (I started with pottery in a game Slowwhand hosted once. (4 humans and 3 AI's )) If Narz usually plays 7 player games with AI's, then he has probably been in a few games when the non-host started with techs.

Ok, re-read that and then try very hard to comprehend it. I know you're stupid, but you have it in you to go beyond the legally retarded level. And if you have such better things to do, why then are you posting here?

uhh...this looks a lot like the civ2 games i used to "play" at msn zone, and other games i used to play online. Insults, disrespect, and people who quit simply because things don't llok good at the moment.in fact, it is this exact kind of attitude/disrespect i have come to expect from online gaming, and is why i rarely play with people i don't already know, or who have proven themselves to be players of integrity.

nuffsaid
