Modern MP?
I always though modern civ was one of the most fun parts. However, I don't think I ever saw a MP Civ2 game make it even near that far. What are some things we can try to do to get MP games into the modern era?

I read somewhere that u can start ur MP game at any area. Could be wrong however.

You're right Athitis. With PtW we'll be able to specify what Age a scenario starts in.

Does this mean that we will have to put up with poorly placed ai cities to start with, or will we start with a settler in the year 1800?

Firaxis, in the last CFC chat said you can play any scenario in multi-play. I specifically asked about modern era and if you could have reasonable start and end dates.
