So anyway, do you think I should get it done on Thursday (if they have any free slots to fit me in), or next Wednesday? Obviously, Thursday being the 'get it over with' option, and next week being the cowardly option.

I'd go with Thursday. Not only is it sooner, but by monday you should be fine anyway and you'll probably miss less school.
