The New Germany unit update
I have always enjoyed Petrowski's WWII scenario, the only thing wrong with it was some really bad units.
(The T-34 for example, was a PANTHER! )
And since I was bored while working on my own project, I made up a unit update using Nemo-like units.
A few have been modified by me, all signatures are untouched.

Hmm, I see plenty of views, and no comments.
Has anybody tried the units?
Any ideas for better ones?
Other scenarios you'd like to see new units for?
I have replayed the scenario with the new units, it looks wonderful, and makes an above average scenario excellent, now it looks as good as it plays.
I would like a little feedback, it helps on these projects.

OK, some comments...
As you asked for comments, here you are...
First I have to say I haven't used the units (yet?), but just took a good look at the pic you joined!
The units look great and I like them except for two whose style I find a bit different from the others (and which, IMHO, don't fit really well in the lot):
1) the B17 : it looks much too small, I think! I know, I know, the allowed pic size is not infinite...
2) the artillery below the Brit's tank: I have the feeling its style is really different from the others
Hope you don't mind my comments, but well, you asked for it!

I have actually done something similar myself (although I actually went and changed some of how the scenario plays as well, and replaced some units with others, etc.)
I would post the units file from mine, but it's on my home computer and I'm at uni at the moment, but if you wait till tomorrow I'll be able to put it up.

Be Bro get the nod for the crusade-era units. Thank you, B.B. you renewed my interest in this great scenario.

Chris,
I like the new graphics set for an excellent scenario. I agree that the "Nemo-esque" style graphics are a nice improvement on a fine quality scenario. Like the post above though, that artillery unit under the british tank looks out of place. Likewise the B17 is not isometric.
I too will admit to modifying the supplied graphics on various scenarios - usually substituting a "Nemo-esque" unit set. Not sure what the scenario designers think about this, but it is only for my own pleasure so it shouldn't really matter.

Artillery Piece
The Artillery unit in question is actually a French 75mm from WWI (so it's a bit out-of-date here)
Most of the other units are great. I too liked the scenario but wasn't thrilled with many of the original units.

How's about this unit in place of the questionable artillery? 'Field Artillery' From Lebensraum- 1939.

Actually, I didn't add the two artillery, only the 105(which nemo calls a 150).
The field gun is somewhat lacking, and the 155 is actually a british 25 pounder.
There is somewhat of a lack of modern artillery out there.
The 75mm icon actually fits, it represents the old 75mm field gun, not a modern 75mm AT gun.
This miniature is similar to what it looked like:

As for the B-17, I don't like the nemo versions, and in game, the one I used looks good, but it could be better.
I also found there is a tech tree error in "New Germany", you cannot reach future tech, but this is easily fixed, by changing one of the FT prereqs.
Also, I gave the P-51 interceptor capability (which is logical, since it was the top propeller driven figther of the war).
There are some other technical flaws, but it's still a great old scenario.

Playing the scenario from several sides, there are also tech tree problems, for example, Future tech requires Fusion, which is unreachable, as is rocketry.
A few changes fixes this, but the domain of the Katusha has to be changed or it is unbuildable, another strange thing is the weak Yak-9 isn't a fighter (this was changed, German bomber crews found out the hard way it was).
Since it's easier to just post a revised rules.txt, here it is:
