Civ Music
I was wondering what people listened to while playing civ. I think music is an intergl part of a gaming experience and makes the mood all worth while.
I personally switch between ages and stuff, mostly movie tracks and classical.

dude, i just turn the game on and go. i keep it from getting too repetitive by making up lyrics as i go along.
(modern era music)
"suck on me
mr. xerxes...
(funky part) whoo!
i made some tanks
and then i built artillery...
now don'tcha know, persia
i'm gonna come and getcha - yeah, yeah
i stole your tech
i'll make your empire such a wreck
now i will be the leader
of the friggin' modern era - yeah yeah!"

Very good Bella Hella!!!!
I think you should send your song to firaxis!!!
Maybe then, when a war with Xeres comes, this will be default the song played.
I generally listen the civ3 music when I play the game, but you're right. Sometimes is annoying have the same song playing, especially in modern ages, when the set of songs will not change any more.

I don't go with the music. I used to until I reached the Modern Ages then I shut it off..but sometimes Classical like Beethoven or Mozart, or if I'm in a warmongering mood, nothing beats the only band I've been listening to for over 20 years...Metallica

I listen to the Civ3 music; however, I do turn it down a bit in the modern age.

I renamed some of the Opera music from Heroes of Might and Magic II to the CIV3 middle age list.
For the Industrial and Modern Era I put in some classical music, but left the "SmashFull.mp3" original because I like that one.

I'm going to have to turn the music back on, it's been so long I've forgotten what it sounds like.

I listen to the game songs... I like them, especially the medieval/industrial music.

i turn mine off, it speeds up the game! If you really like the civ3 music, burn it onto a cd and play it on your CD player. That way you can have the music and the speed...ed up gameplay.

I voted for heavy classical music. Nothing is better than listening to the Phantom of the Opera with violins and electric guitars making you feel like a GOD!!!!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Proposal: Play SMAC while listening to heavy classical music and everything that includes a mix of classical and other music styles. Heck, it can make you cry! So thrilling!
However, I do find industrial and modern age perfect. Can't understand why you turn the music off at this ages. It is the ancient area music that sucks, IMHO-turned the sound off the first time I played the game.

I didn't vote it, but the option I liked the most is:
" I listen to a banana" I can imagine that
Bella Hella Btw, do you actually sing it

Hey, Bella, your band could record that song and you could put it on the net for us civ addicts to download it.

Maybe if CIV 3 was around back in the 1930's, Hitler never would have come to power because he would have been pulling all nighters trying to achieve a domination victory...

glad you liked it, guys! yeah, the words change depending on which civ i hate at the time. and yes, i usually DO sing along with the music. i just love the funk modern era music. the other song that's good to make up words to is the little harpsichord ditty that's played during industrial times. it gets all heavy and intense. i can play it on the guitar, too.

god, i'm a dork.
