Use this thread, Ignore the other one...
wow! What is up with my computer?!?!?! Ignore that other thread...
With the founding of San Cortes, we have placed ourselves in an even more advantageous situation then we originally thought. Looking at the current save (640 ad mapwhore), we find ourselves in a unusual situation with several cities cramped close together. We already have a dominate culture, and everyone is either impressed with us, or better. I propose we use this to our advantage much the same way we used the Iron advantage over Persia. If we consentrate our income on developing cultural infrastructure in San Cortes, Chiquita and New York, it is entirely possible to flip SIX (6) cities without a single drop of blood.
With rushed cultural improvement in the three cities named above, we could flip Boston, Washington, Chicago, Argos, Delphi and Mycenae in one or two turnchats/threads. This is a limited oppertunity, folks as the Geeks and Aztecs will surely build cultural improvements to stop this from happening!
For details on this plan go here.

I'm in favor. Now that war weariness has an effect on our civilization we need to think more seriously about cultural conquest (not to be confused with cultural victory).

Why isn't Rheims included in the list of cities targeted for flipping? Is it too big for us to chew?

Delphi and Mycenae are in Ill de Rose. The others are in Piña Colada.
And of course I start threads about Piña Colada. I am the RA of the province and any time I do any CP work, naturally I start there. I consentrate my work on Piña Colada. If I were a RA of another province, I would consentrate my work there. It just that while looking at the situation closely I discovered that we have this oppertunity, and I thought I would bring it to everyones attention as it is an opportunity I felt everyone should know about and to discuss.
Now I know that I would be insane to think that all of my rush requests will be approved, or even could be approved. I have therefore come up with a prioroty list.
Cath in San Cortez
Cath in New York
Lib in San Cortez
Cath in Chiquita
Lib in New York
Lib in Chiquita
Uni in San Cortez
Uni in Chiquita
Uni in New York
By the time it get to the Uni, I believe that we will have the three Aztec cities. Obviously, as the cities flip the prioritys change. The Greek cities will be much more difficult to flip, might actually require a Uni or two.

Rheims and the Persian Lowland coast (Arbela, Oxford, Tarsus, Hastings) are the other places a flip'em off are possible. I didn't look in to this much as, like I said, I look over my province first. After I came up with this idea, I was tired and went to bed.

Rushbuilding Will Leave us Technologically Behind
I this strategy only makes sense for those cities that it can be done without rushbuilding, 120 gold for a temple is almost a whole turn of commerce - that's 3/4 of a turn of science or gold 320 for a Cathedral is two turns of gold -- . Rather than spend more turns rush building to get a posssible 6 cities, lets enhance our Whole Great Empire with: Cavalry, Sufferage, Factories, Hoover Dam and tanks. We have 50% more population than the next closest civ , so we've already made up the 20% disadvantage in slower technology, let's not pay through the nose to make a more corrupt empire.

Realpolitic, there will be at least one turn normal production to avoid the 2X penalty on haven't started the sturcture yet.
We are unlikey to get Calvary until late in the next term at the very earliest.
Donegeal, perhaps a similar operation on the Persian lowland against England should start before the Universitys here and once everything except University in that plan is built, the Universitys in this plan are built if needed to flip. We then go back and build the Universitys needed in the Persian lowlands.

Maybe we need a Culture Minister to coordinate these buildings/flips.
