Seems that I discovered a bug here. It also seems that a bunch of you have changed your avatars, however. Did you all do it in Opera? Or is the problem fixed now?

There's a trick you can use, but it might result in a ban. Cybershy used it to change his title to "Moderator," and Skanky used it to mess with his flag.
So, you can just blame Skanky.

No, seriously, I did it from campus.

I'm innocent I tells you!
Just don't ask certain people who have changed their avatars recently...
I've pmed Markos about this problem, so hopefully he can fix it when he has some time.

Er, I've never bought or consumed corn, store-brand or any other sort, from the supermarket so I don't comprehend this comparison. Is store-brand corn good then?
And no, Skanky had nothing to do with my avatar changing. I just did it normally. :P

I just downloaded Opera so I could change my avatar. I got tired of waiting for a fix.

Same problem here: trying to upload a new avatar that meets the requirements, but upon pressing 'submit modifications', nothing happens.

When the mods are away, the mice will play.
Or something.

No, Skanky. Wrong answer.
When the mods are away, blame Skanky.

Speaking of IE 5, the faulty avatar problem (where people who hadn't uploaded a new avatar in ages had a square with a red X at the corner) has seemed to have vanished

Bump.
If you could reply (even just to say that you are aware of the problem) that would be great Mark or Dan.

Mark has probably been super busy trying to keep the server running, which might also be the problem with why you can't change your avatar. they keep getting turned off every other hour or so. that has to do something to the code

No, its not related to the avatars being on or off. Besides the fact that they don't work regardless of whether avatars are on or off, when you click submit, you get a little error down the bottom of your page. Removing the small section of code that causes that error allows you to change your avatar at will (again, regardless of whether avatars are on or off at that particular moment).

Cannot change avatar -- and I just became a King, dammit!
Using IE 5.5.
Will try a few things and report anything of interest.
