We've Started
We have started the Multisite Democracy Game.
It was kind of spur of the moment.....however, we have three teams. GameCatcher, CFC, and CornEmpire Software. It is an open game, so Poly may still join if they like.
All dealings will be on the GC forum, and you may request your own GC forum if you decide to enter a team.
Thanks for everything, and I hope you can get a team together.

We have a team. We have a President who wants to play. WTF ARE YOU DOING STARTING WITHOUT US?

We have been trying for weeks to get an Apolyton player to play.
And have not.
So we started.
Your still welcome to play. We will probably be playing Monday. Check the forum at GameCatcher for more info.

Before you cast judgement, put yourself in my shoes.
I'm on a team that wants to start.
The other team wants to start more.
And the third team posts topics about giving up, and changing the face of the game.
Regardless I persue a unified start for two weeks. However, time has passed and people are becoming restless. I have two teams ready to go. But two teams won't lead to a fun game. So I step down from my team, and enter another four player team. Now we have three teams ready to go.
I know that apolyton will be upset, and may still persue playing, thus I leave the game open...with an invitation for any other sites to enter a team.
Instead of watching the idea die, I've given it new life. And your still welcome to join.

Blame me if you wish. We've wanted to start for so many weeks, I've lost track. At the same time, we CFC people have been preparing. It came to be, I saw Talar and CornMaster online on ICQ frequently when I and other CFC people were available.
So I suggested we start suddenly, and they agreed.
Btw, it is King, Small Map, Islands, Raging, No Bribing. If Corn says you're welcome to join, that is fine with us so long as we keep the set playing time, as posted on GC.
You're best bet is to be there Monday, when we 3 start. We have a problematic position, and I assume the same is true for Corn & Talar/GC. No whining.

We have two players who think it would have been wise to wind it up, but would keep playing if the game went ahead.
Zedd is not one of those, and has been trying consistently to arrange a time with you.
Instead of giving it life, you've killed the Apolyton team.
We may as well message Markos and get him to move this forum to archives.
Now we lose all the input we could have had into starting the game, because you're too impatient to work out a time with your pres.
In the PBEM/Real-Time thread, my whole argument was that it would be very difficult to get all the presidents together to play. You assured me that that would not be a problem. Well, what has happened since then?
The Apolyton team has been a part of the planning of this since the very beginning. The only fair choice is restarting with an Apolyton team.
To do otherwise is an act of bastardry. The blame for this not getting started lies firmly between the three of you - and if you couldn't get everyone together, you should have started by PBEM.

Hell, I don't care what team I'm on. I'm just glad it's finally begun. Cornmaster, may I have the honour of joining your team? (The others are of rival sites ) Also do you have a URL for the GC Forum?

Life is not fair. Get used to it.
I didn't think it was fair when I stayed up all hours of the night waiting for a poly and CFC player the first time. On a time proposed by you.
Talar didn't think it was fair staying up with a CFC player waiting for a poly player.
The CFC team didn't think it was fair to wait for poly when they were ready and raring to go.

Fine, we are to blame for not getting started with you.
And you are to blame for not having an apolyton team in this MS Demo Game.
Because of your ignorance and inflexibility.
BTW, the link to the GC forum is http://www.gamecatcher.net/fora/ CornEmpire Software doesn't have a forum as it's only the 4 of us that belong to CornEmpire Software http://cornempire.newezone.com so we don't have a forum. Of course, if your still interested, I guess I can have Lucky or Unknown Soldier set up a forum for us. Just post in the Main MS Demo Game Forum.

We could restart the game next time with the 3 teams originally meant to play if Apolyton just show up. Don't get too upset about that we started without you, at least it got your attention I'd like to have Apolyton in the game and if you just get someone to play for the next session I wouldn't mind restarting. We didn't play more than the 10 first turnsanyway.

You are a weak leader Talar.
We should crush them now....before they have the chance to rise against us.
You will all perish!
-----------
A translation of the above post, means that the decision stands in the hands of Nemo whether to restart of not.
Of course...if a poly player doesn't show, we will just continue the other game.

Monday was trouble, but we are going to try early, 15:30 GMT for maybe an hour. We know that's a bit early for Talar, but if he can make it we will play then. Otherwise we will wave off until a normal time Wednesday (I guess). I can never make 22:00GMT - that's dinner time w my family.
Corn asked me to post this here. Regular playing time is scheduled at GC, and by ICQ, and we normally expect to play once per week or more, one hour 18:00 -21:00GMT
I'm willing to restart, my team may not be, and this whole Monday time is iffy anyway. We'll see.

It's good that you're trying again - especially if you're restarting.
And don't give me any of that "we didn't want to play at all hours of the night" crap, CornMaster. I was assured by you personally when I was arguing for PBEM that this would not be a problem. You insisted on Real-Time, the problems I said would happen did happen, and you have to live with the consequences.

Game time was posted at GC Mon 21 Oct:
"Cornmaster Talar & I all confirmed.
Thursday Afternoon is 2PM -5PM is 14+4 thru 17+4, 18:00 -21:00 GMT "
Actually, we're planning to play at 18:00 . Please, everyone meet me EARLIER than that on ICQ.
If we're going to restart with another Team, puleeze work that out with CornMaster ahead of time.
