Getting anywhere with this, Herc? If there is no response from the Sevs, feel free to replace them both. I saw shadowlord3 volunteered to be a replacement, and I was recently contacted by a new player who preferred to start as a replacement in an existing game (this is probably a bit early, but hey). Sound interesting?

Sounds fine to me. I hate it when games stall this early.

There has been no response and I mailed again. So another player is fine.

Tau Ceti just mailed me - I'm volunteering to take over the Spartans. I told him I was looking for a game I could play as a replacement without worrying about scoring, I'm new to PBEM but not SMAC/X. My email for moves right now is shawnmmcc@hotmail.com. By the way, hello SL3

Quick question - where can I find the world specs and any added rules, I've read the FAQ on tournament play. Just point me to the setup thread and I'll read it.

2113 to Archaic - tried loading as SMAC, couldn't open - figured out is SMAX Where is the original set-up thread with the game parameters not spelled out in the PBEM rules FAQ?

Archaic the turn 2113 you sent had a .rar ending and not a .SAV ending, so couldn't open it never mind play it.
Bye the way what is the .rar ending anyhow, how did you manage that .

rar is ace program, just like winzip program. He will either need to resend using winzip or you will need to download ace.

I haven't seen anything in a couple of weeks, and my wife just started into labor so my availability may be spotty . What's going on with this game, please, I've heard nothing since I emailed my last turn out.

Ok looks as if Shawnmmcc is caught up with fatherhood. If it is OK with you guys I 'll post for replacement.
What is it with AXTO59 and AXTO60

And just to acknowledge this thread, the last game I was playing also stalled because of shawnmmcc's fatherhood, so it would be suitably apt for me to take over his people here

Beat me to it.
Anyhow I' ve emailed Tau Ceti to forward password to Gibsie, but he usually looks in from time to time on his tournament games so will likely, act quickly.

Password emailed - hopefully Gibsie's registered email is the correct one. In any case, he will have to at least tell shadowlord3 what it is to get the turn...
Welcome, Gibsie, and thanks!

I got the password- but that account is so bogged down through unuse that it'd never accept a full game save.
Hopefully shadowlord3 will recall from the last game he GM'ed for us that my e-mail address is daniel_gibbons@hotmail.com
Just someone confirm for me- whom do I send my turn to and at what e-mail address?
