Next SP's and Where?
We seem to have a lot of confusion as to what and where things are happening with the SP's, so this is for a better consensus on what to do.
For reference - we currently have the HGP with 8 turns to go in NA and the Merchant Exchange just started in NS. Gaians & Morgan are also building the HGP, and Miriam is also buiding the ME.

We should get crawlers out there and pulling in the minerals if possible before beginning any new projects. We'd be playing catchup to others anyway, so let's do it with bases pulling in 20 minerals and with the ability to cash in its crawlers for a quick rush.

VW in NA, or wherever can build it first. Anything else is optional and of secondary importance. We'll be saving 3 maintenance per turn per base and still get the benefits of Holo Theatres. This will be critical - think of it as Mike's Chapel in Civ2 or Civ3.

Me in Ns is good. This base will have large minerals amounts really soon, and it is our best chance to secure some SP in one base. Ie, if you build ME+SuperCollider+Theory of everything+Spatial elevator in the same base. Better keep them for the base with the largest amount of minerals, and crawl energy when it comes to be worthy.

Space elevator, my bas. It doubles the energy output, with the merchant exchange, and the super collider and the theory of everything in the same base, you have (2X+base_size)x4 instead of X labs output. Add the network node, fusion lab, research hospital, etc... and you have Babylon.

You forgot the Network Backbone. +1 Research at the base for every Network Node in existance on Planet.
Problem.......such a base isn't especially viable except if it's your HQ. Even in a para. economy, you'll get some inefficiency from HQ distance, and that screws things up. Furthermore.......where the hell are we going to put the energy farm we'd need to get it really going?

VW before HGP - as PK's we have its effect already "built in". Completing VW enables us to leave Holos off of every base's build queue.

How long have some of these factions been building those for? We can probably figure out how far they are along.
In any case, if they go for too long, and we snatch the project from them, they'll switch to a new one and beat us to it. Which might cause someone else to switch, and so on. We probably won't get them all, so we need to straighten out some priorities.

We have a decent, easily created and safe energy park already... the whole freshwater sea. We should use that for a Super Science City in Panama. Eventually, we can crawl the ridge as well. Panama is close enough to New Poly so that inefficiency wont matter and if any perfectionist would bother it's easy enough to move the capital with the kind of mineral prod Panama will have.
