haha i'm citizen #4. better than the bottom like last time at #444.... or whatever.
I'm not sure if the game will be sold right off the bat where I live, even though I am in the U.S. We can still participate in the game without the actual 'game' can't we?

Yes. You can participate without the game, just cannot be a minister or such as will have no access to the save. Participation will be on the boards.

PTW demo game
let us put shame in the hearts of any other demo gamers out there by dealing out humiliating defeats to them.
*takes a deep breath*
I mean please count me in as well

Thanks, UnOrthO, but I am not leading this. I am just the spokesperson - donegeal was the one who contacted me. And I am not a member for this game, hence my name not being the first one I put on the list.

And we all know how much of that exists here.
Really though now, is anyone interested in having Demo game TEAMS, rather than just a big PtW Demo game like we had with Civ 3? I think it would be a lot of fun, we'd just have to find a way to get teams.

I don't know. Wouldn't you need multiple, private, forums?
It could work, but the g0dz would have to be willing.

Yeah... I contacted several active players via PM (for security reasons) in an initial attempt to getting ready for a Multi-site Demo Game. I would love to crush the Fanaticans!
I honestly have grown to eagerly anticipate the inevitable agruements that arise from our current active players would hate to not have them all on my team.
Site vs Site vs Site vs Site vs Site vs Site. Maybe throw in an AI or two.
I honestly don't think I would be all that interested in a poly vs poly game.

re: teams
yeah, as I understood it, it would be apolyton vs. any other demo game out there.
But our team would represents a sizeable chunk of people; are the other communities out there as well-organized as 'Poly?

How many demo games would be against us? One of the reasons I wanted to do this is because I thought it would be a 'smaller-scale' game than before. If we're going to have another 100+ people, then I'm not so sure if I want to do it anymore.
Also, Thunderfall said he wants to wait a few months to do that, to see how PtW MP goes.

if you have teams i dont think you'll have teams of 100 people
it would be interesting to set a 20 players per team limit and have an analgous number of teams
