Number of Civs
How many (non-Barbarian) Civs should we play with? (including ourselves)
(Note that playing with 28+ civs can cause some weird bugs)

If mapsize or other circumstances matter in this, assume for the sake of this poll that these circumstances are whatever you consider to be ideal. (We can always have a second round of voting or whatever once we've settled mapsize and things like that).

Actual I already said what I want concerning map size and civ number that are still 10 civs and a gigantic map, also 10 civs on a large map is interesting.

I think we could handle some more than 10, maybe 12?

Yep i agree, regardless of map size (altho it will be huge) we should play with 10-14 other civs. I voted 12.

My main concern is not to play with the standart 8 civs so more then 10 civs is also ok.

well, though i actually don't want to decide before other questions are settled, i just voted 28+ and i would have voted 500+ if it were possible.
actually you should count my vote as "as many as the people who know about this stuff think will run bugfree"
the main reasons for lesser civs to me always are
- too early conflict, which can be countered with larger maps
- game running too slow (meaning the computer needs too much time for a turn), but this shouldn't be a question here, since this won't be a "only want to get that wonder, than i really will go to bed" game like most single player games are, at least for me.

15 for me.......
Locutus, you should have removed 14, it is a bad number...... makes 13 civ's and that isn't good at all

8-10, because if you add more, then there will be fewer large AI civs. Smaller civs make easier pickins'

Good point Dave, but one thing to consider is that from my last games my observation was that the AI fills the map with cities, ok maybe I never had enough land on my maps to see what will happen if the AI reaches the city cap. As it looks the land mass on the map is so huge that there will be enough room for all the AIs maybe ten or eleven civs should be ok, I think the human will have the problem of not having enough room for new settlements.
