You know them new gurilla units, anybody think you should be able to sneak them in using nuclear subs? And normal subs too!
Infact anybody got any other good ideas about inserting this unit into enemy terrortory!?

i DEFFINITLY think they should be able to be inserted by Submarine, it would be nice if instead of generic submarine and nuclear submarine, Firaxis had used Fast Attack and Boomer.

that also brings me to another idea, helping spys, like a Gurilla squad securing the spy at a checkpoint or somthing!
I don't really think this idea is very good, but maby with some revision we can come up with an idea!
Seems better than "our spy has been caught and killed, Mao is not happy"
"Why the **** was he caught, couldn't we of done somthing for him?"

I don't like the idea of units on subs. We are not talking about one guerrilla here (i.e. rambo), we are talking about many units acting together. Submarines have never been used as unit platform for the simple reason there is not enough room to hold adequate units for a assault. Name me one battle which involved launching ground units from a submarine.

the movie has charlie shean in it!
and you could easily launch a 5 man squad from a sub.
In that film they had some thing mounted onto the hull of the sub that they used for somthing, i cant remember what.

I would like to see the guerrilla unit replace barbarians in the late game such as we had in Civ2. You could therefore have guerrilla uprisings in Democracies and Communist socities if enough people were unhappy in your cities (or if your overall approval rating is too low--not sure how linked those two actually are).
And of course, I would like to see the return of some kind of partisan system (again, as in Civ2). Perhaps guerrillas could be used in this manner. Take an enemy city and X number of guerrillas spawn depending on the city size and difference in government and/or culture between the conqueror and the conquered.

by the way, hidden nationalities negates invisible, people tryed it with subs and just found them useless cuz the subs could no longer hide!

Now keep in mind I'm no navy seal expert (but I am related to one ) I think your that's some kind of depressurization chamber and if I remember correctly the process is called "locking out." However this is only for a small squad (maybe 8 people, 12 at most), my guess is a guerrela squad is probably supposed to be larger then that (25, 50, or 100) but maybe this is something that you could make a UU for. I added the Seals as an american unit once (marine only with a few extra things), I'm not sure if theres any way in the editor to restrict all units except for 1 from getting on a transport, anyone know for sure?

Using the "foot unit/foot units only" attributes would be the easiest way to go.

So remove the attribute from them, the only unit presently using the foot units only attribute is the helicopter and having sepc-ops inserted by chopper is a bit closer to reality than inserting an infantry or marine brigade by one.

I never EVER have found a good reason to use helicopters in civ3. The reason is that the AI (on emperor level) doesn't know how to baricade cut off poitns properly. But I predict that in PtW humkans will have entire continents cut in twain by bunker lines, and helicopters will become useful to get over this.
In PtW helicopters (like fighters) will actually be worth something.

yes, i have big plans for lines of bunkers filled with infantry and big sign saying stuff like "MINES", "AS IN, IS MINES!", "THE STATUE OF LIBERTY IS KAPUT", "CORNAL KLINK HAS BEEN HERE", "JESUS CHRIST", "...WAS KILLED HERE", and the most offensive yet, "YO MOMMA!"

To me, guerrilla units would represent something similar to Viet Cong units in Vietnam, not commando squads. Commando/Special Forces units are not appropriate in a strategic game such as Civ (IMO).
