My suggestion for a name would be Yingzhou, which (I believe) is Chinese for "ocean continents". Makes sense, since we made contact with China before India we should use a Chinese name for that continent.
(If someone actually knows Chinese, can you tell me if I got the translation right?)

The Japanese continent should be Eva or Evangelion or something like that.

Btw, the Japanese are on an island (it's an island and not really a continent because they don't share their landmass with another civilization). We'll have to name it too once we discover it.
How about Sandwich Island? Or how about Alcatraz?

Because the Zulu's are on a separtate Island and It had a LOT of gems, we should call it Gem Island or Something like it that's catchy.

I kind of like the sound of it. Or maybe the Chinese name for a Fruit/vegitable that is the shape of their Continent (as Anabanana is derived from Banana for us).

For the Zulu island, how about Praetoria? Is that the place in Africa where you can find the most diamond mines or have I gotten the name wrong?
Anyway, if anyone knows the name of some island where there are a lot of diamond mines, it could make a nice name.

I thought I posted on here. Yeah, well, whatever happened, here again are some ideas and more after looking at the save.
Mrmitchellland.
And of course Yingzhou like Vlad said. And good idea on Praetoria for Zulu island, Shiber.
My idea is both have the same name, like Newland for example. (Newland is just an example to demonstrate what I mean.)
Chinese/Indian continent is Newland Major/Major Newland/South Newland or something.
Zulu island is Newland Minor/Minor Newland/North Newland or something.
Of course, you can throw in my name if you wish.
These are just ideas.

Maybe I'm just high on something and don't know it.
(About the post I thought I did.)
I got the idea from a quizbowl tourney I just got back from where one of the questions was about Ursa Minor/Major. (I think that's it's name.)
Happy civving,
mrmitchell

In Chinese, Ocean is "Hai Yang". So Ocean Continents would probably be "Yang Zhou". But "Yang Zhou" is not a good name, because there is already a province in China with the same name. My suggestion would be :
For China, India : ASIA
For Japan : Land of the Raising Sun

Why not use Graceland to refer to the three continents the "Lost" Civs are on? (We were assuming they were on one continent at the time.) We could then name each continent individually.
Don't have much opinion on those individual names, but I like Zadagascar. The Zulu continent should be something we like; that way, we won't have to bother renaming it when it's a province of ours.

I like Zadagascar also, but there is this unwritten rule that continents names must begin and end with the same letter.
What about Radagascar ?

Yeah, Yingzhou (I prefer it with the i) for the Chinese/Indian continent, Bob for the Zulu continent, and either Allyourbase or Nippon for the Japanese continent.
And yeah, we already have a city named Geofront, in El Nido province. (I distinctly remember us deciding on El Nido for the name of that province, not El Nino. I refuse to call it El Nino.)

Hm. Asia...Africa...Europe...Antarctica...Australia... well, at first I don't think they really understood America was worthy of two seperate continents when they named it. So you could say America, forgoing North and South. By Jove, you're right, they all begin with the same letter as which they end!
Who said we have to follow unwritten rules? Zadagascar is just fine. Besides, I think it's just an island. Corient is good for India/China, but does everyone like it? When we conquer it we don't need to worry about renaming it. And CorienT doesn't begin/end in the same letter. (T capitalized to emphasize.)

I really like Zadagascar, it just calls for typos, like our motherland's name.
Corient isn't a good one- IMHO we need a long name for the second sized continent on the planet...

Actually I coined Zadagascar from Zulu + Madagascar.
Corient? I don't know, I figured we could refer to India and China as Corientals from The Corient.
Japan? How about the Fogi Islands (pronounced "foggy" assuming they conform to historical presidient and are on more than one).
