European Box Art
Just having a quick browse through amazon.co.uk and noticed that they have added a new (since I last looked) PTW box pic.
This looks like one of those DVD box size covers I am not sure we ever found out if ptw was to get a normal sized box or a DVD size box, It doesn't bother me either way cos I generally bin them in anycase.
Anyway here (possibly) is the pic.
Its nice but is it worth the 3 extra weeks we have to wait for ptw, I dont think so

Yes, this game cover shows, that it's not about armwrestling at all

Damn it, I thought the combat in lan and hotseat multiplayer games was resolved by armwrestling. All those hours I put in at the gym wasted

Methinks Firaxis realized they had to make a more civilized box for the European market.

Notice: it's a box that shows the map of europe
For sure targetted to the european market, otherwise it would've had an north american map

One more notice: In the upper right corner the word "Civilisation" is written in its British version, while the game name remained in the American version.

That box looks great. The North American one is a joke.
That said, does it really make a difference once we get our grubby paws on the CD? Nope.

i know it's a euro-fied version, but the name of the game is civiliZation, so suck it. :P

That's a good question. The US box just shows the aggression of MP games, but fails to show the 'total package' that is Civ.

Two boxes for two different markets.
US Box = Primal
EU Box = Sohisticated

Like the maps in the game? Nothing wrong with that.

Well, I liked more the european box, but Italy is so deformed to look like another country

I don't know which is better.
This shows the game, but US cover shows what the in-game-world (from lower-level view) would look like.
No complains, this looks good enough.

I like the European box best! The colours is IMHO right(sorry alva! ), and the map filled with small pieces of different parts of the game, is just right.

Maybe the designers could have opened an atlas before making this map... Ireland and Italy are awful, GB is much too small, I can't see Danemark, etc . But maybe it is done to show how the maps are in the game
Nevertheless it is better than the US box art

No it is correct since civilisation in the top right is not a brand name, therefore it needs to be spelt the official british way. Only the game title needs to be in the American version.
Suck it
