Turning over unit control?

Hi!

Is it possible to 'give away' older units to my allies? This was done easily in SMAC - just take the unit to the territory of your ally, and you get the option 'turn over unit control'.

I haven't seen this option in this game. If it's possible, then I'll have to think about getting glasses...

You don't need glasses. Sadly, it's not included in the game.

If you just want to get rid of them, disband them in a city not producing a wonder to get X number of shields towards current production.

X = (unit price in shields) / 4, eventually rounded down to the next integer.
