maybe the flags could stay where they were, and just the civgroups move? that's a good place though

If you leave a few pixels space between the flag and the icons, you won't notice the height difference (I think)...

Basically looks okay, but you'll have to wait until the avatars come back for my final judgement

Hmmm, interesting... Looks a little odd but given some time, I think I could get used to this...

Nice feature .
It's not a big deal, but there's so much stuff listed on the left of the posts now that some of them are getting very much taller than they need be. Consider Locutus's post below - it's made twice as tall as needed just for the post content, which generally makes pages taller, and makes it harder to quickly scan through threads (Especially those like PBEM threads, with many one-line posts). It would be nice if more of these things could be optionally hidden, like the various instant messaging things for those who don't have the program in question. (It would be nice if everything else was optional too, right down to the poster name, but that's unlikely to happen).

Using the light style, its not too bad, because those ugly IM buttons aren't there. They're really the only thing that stops me using the default style. Them and the light bulb perhaps.

It looks okay if you display signatures
But I agree, for some of us (not me though) it would probably be a good idea if you could turn off the display of those CivGroup and IM icons. Especially if the same info is also visible in the profiles...

Oh yeah, one more thing, are those images final? Lets face it, they might be practical, but pretty they ain't.

Thanks for the suggestion - I'd never tried the light style before, but it's much nicer, now I don't have to remember what all those strange symbols across the top of the post mean .
But I still maintain my stance of "the more optional items the better".

oh, I was going to use a standard Civ3 color for C3 DG/MP/PBEM, and so forth. But the other way is ok. Hmmm

Really hate the country flag on top. Having it under the avatar, and the "groups I'm in" flags immed. below that, much better.
Should be able to leave the top info (name, avatar, "King / from Hell" etc.) where it belongs, right of the avatar.
ICQ stuff last. (Local time could move there too)
Right now, it has that oh-so-sad "ten pounds of crap in a five pound bag" look. (Not that there's anything wrong with that...)
[ Holy cow there's a lot of code in that little box! ]

Could you put them in a square formation? This looks a bit silly.

I'm missing a Civ2 Test of Time multiplayer group!
Civ2ToT and Civ2MGE are not compatible so it doesn't make any sense to lump them together.
Granted, there aren't many ToT multiplayers, but that's not getting any better if even the administration of a major Civilization gaming site denies its existence!

Good question. I guess that we could use it to carry on as some kind of [self-appointed] elite
Actually, forget I ever sugested it.

When will the polls of a democracy game be only voted by the the members who joint its respective DG CivGroup?
