Is there a legend for these anywhere? I keep seeing random pictures of clock towers, shields, and half maple-leafs, and have no idea what they all mean.

Highlighting tells what they are; and in the members list section; there is an explanation of the icons- I believe.

Pedrunn-
AFAIK- you only have to be registered on Apolyton in order to vote on the polls in a Democracy Game. I've posted polls and voted, while not a 'member' of the civgroup.
I've since signed up

Obiwan, when the civgroups were announced in October/November, Markos did say member-only voting was a feature coming in the near future....
What I wish to work out is when is the near future?
Also... myself and Locutus are confused. Will the DG forums become read-only to non-members, or will you just not be able to vote?

I would hope for the latter. I found the Civ 2DG through lurking, and only joined after I had a chance to see how the game worked.
We do want to encourage people to join don't we?

there is NO intension for the normal DG forums(not talking about the team forums of the ptw dg) to become read-only to non-members
on members-only voting in dg forums, it's still in my to-do list, but not that high, as i havent seen that much interest from the people.

I think that "Democracy game" represses the other forms of government. I want to participate in a "Feudalism game"

As I've told you before, the entire Constitution of the CtP2-DG is based on it, so we're *all* eagerly awaiting it. I'm sure the CtP1-DG will have a very similar Constitution...

Can we move that list item up some more? Just so it doesn't get forgotten...
btw - in the DGs we rely on a citizen count - would it be possible to have people who don't log in on apolyton for lets say 2 months have automatically removed from the dg-civgroups?

Due to resources needed for the war the tenth is one half for the foreseeable future. Cough up.
Bet you prefer democracy games now.

MarkG, I want to request from the DG groups a cleaning up of the civgroups for those members who didnt ever posted or voted in the last 2-3 months. If not to all DGs at least for the CTP2DG. We kind of want only the active posters in that list.
Hope you give some thought on my request

We could use some housecleaning as well for the Civ2DG.

yes, please. we've just finished the ACDG (in 8 terms - 2 less than the C3DG ) so we'll need a cleaning soon, though not necessarily immediately.

Hi Markos,
speaking of DG Members lists, what about something like PM all members feature like we have it for our buddies. This way we could inform all the members more effective about turn threads nominations for elections, elections, amendments, and court cases.

I back Pedrunn's and Martin Gühmann's requests.
To Panag: I have done so when I was Alpha Talent, but you can only send PMs to five people at once. Combined with the 30, or was it 90?, second limit on PMing, this becomes a very tiring job...
