Because wether or not we will even be choosing civs (rather than random) has yet to be determined. It should be voted on by all PTW-DG players when we set up the game parameters (ie: size, land mass, climate and difficulty level, as well as how many AI civs).

I disagree. You guys have your team, we have ours. If we want Persia, then we will play Persia. If you wanna be random, go right ahead.

Issues that effect all players, should be decided by all players. The issue of Civ selection effects all players (especialy in this case, as only ten people are allowed on your team) and should thusly be voted on. I mean, this is a democracy game, right?

Hmmm...sounds like a team I should join...Is there still room?
I usually play as random, but when having to select a Civ, Rome sounds like a good Civ to play as...

Meshelic, does that mean you'll join?
The Carthaginians sound pretty cool. The Numidian Mercenary is a powerhouse. What are it's civ traits? [Edit]Nevermind, I just got PTW, they're commerical and industrious. [/Edit]
Aro, it would be great to see you on my side. The effort you put into the last demo game is commendable, I'd love to see your effort towards our goal.

Yeah, an MP democracy game. Canada doesn't have to do what the US votes on (in theory) just because we both claim to be democracies. Each democracy can decide for itself.

Maybe we should go with the Turks... I don't know what their traits are, but I here they've got a 8/3/3 cav!

The traits can shape the game. Can we find a list of them somewhere? I looked, but I couldn't find one.

I'm not sure who I'll join at this time, but right now I'm leaning toward your team, Trip.

I'd want to be the Nerv civ with 36/48/6 Evas.

I have bad memories about the SEELE Evas. I felt sympathy pains while watching the movie.

Trip,
Am I signed up? Is there somewhere special I have to go and click a special button, or are you making the list of players from this thread?

You're signed up, just check the memberlist in the first post.
And there's nothing beyond that we can do yet until Markos sets some more stuff up for us.

Only negative thing about Numidian Mercenaries is they cost 30 shields and take a long time to build. If your in a situation where u could otherwise ICS a bit or in very close proximity to another civ, it can be a problem. Btw, I would like to join your team Trip.

I decided I want to join.
How about the Ottomans though? They are Sci/Ind like Persia, but have a better UU.

Great.
Is the Siphai 8/3/3 or 7/3/3? I forget what they decided upon. And I think someone else might have picked them, but if not and the Siphai is 8/3/3 I'm all for the Ottomans.

Its 8/3/3 in game, but 7/3/3 in manual (which is incorrect)

Awesome, that sounds great. 8/3/3 can decimate just about anything. My new favorite civ is the Ottomans.

How about 'TMT', The Multifarious Team? Sounds a bit foreboding.
Latin (which just sounds plain cool):
'Promiscus' is 'diverse'.
'Invictus' is 'invincible' and I think it sounds nifty.
'Dominor' is 'supreme'.
