Join Civgroups -- C2dg
MarkG and Gramphos have added a verycool new feature to Poly -- CivGroups. All denizens should go to the page header, find the CivGroups linkset (right above the Live Chat bar), and click on "Join." Then select the Civ2 Demo Game (and any other place you regularly hang on the fora).
Bonus: You'll get a nifty icon added to your left-hand ID.
See the NEWS ITEM or the TOPPED THREAD in the Apolyton/Community forum for all the hot poop.

actually, you should not have to go to the civgroups link on the top menu
in the c2dg forum and it's threads, you should see something like this

That's what I tried to describe, but once you join it changes, like Schrodinger's cat.
Very that Markos joined... While I don't expect postings, having the Webmaster/Co-Owner voting in the polls would be an honor.
Welcome, MarkG!!!!

"what's the for?"
i never really cared if someone came though and voted in the polls, they're more likely to join if they vote IMO. and its not like it would be real hard to join, vote and then leave if someone was really interested in swinging a vote one way or another. So ireally don't see the point in this part of the feature. To me it really only means that a person is interested in the forum.

If we have a "Mr. Hydey" (DD, "Designated Dad"), then we need a "Dr. Jekyly" to balance him. Or would Jekyly be the natural DL for Hydey?

Actually, I have to say I like this idea (after some initial doubts about ease of moving on and off the list). Sure, someone could do that each time, but it would take some extra effort, and there is some value in seeing the information about each participant in a consolidated table.
(see, I'm not always against *every* change in the board)
