Question about restarts and resource placment...
If i restart an old game back at 4000 bc, after I already played it through, will the resources still pop up in the same places throughout the game? Or is that a random thing that changes as the game goes along? In other words will the uranium still be in the same place?

If they are in the same place, in all honesty, I probably won't even use that as a cheat. The problem in the first game was not resource allocation. IMO, i had about all the resources I needed. Iron, coal, rubber, aluminum, uranium, plus about 4 luxuries etc were all in my area (or easily within one city capture of an enemy.

The resources are placed on the map when it's first created, so all the resources will be in the same positions. The only exception will be a resource that has disappeared/reappeared in the meantime. That's a random thing, not the initial placement. That occurs right when the map is created, and doesn't change.
