ChaotikVisions, I listed you as in Oklahoma City, if that's all right. Suburbs are close enough for INet purposes. Listing the metropolis will help people not so near you know where you are.

That is good news. I am glad other people are finding people for good games. I have about 10 people on my list for good performance now, but looking for more.

Heh. How many cups in Calgary?
Your post gave me a great idea though. In a bit I will see if we can get a Battle of Alberta going.
There can be only 1![
|
Well,,,, uh, 1, lol. Maybe thats a misleading number, though.
But it was the best cup victory in the NHL. IMO, no road to the cup was as glorious in the history of the NHL. And well, those cups werent exactly won by Edmonton...does Gretzky ring a bell
Anyways, ya, A battle of Alberta sounds like a great Idea. I got dibbs on the Celts If you can get something going I'd love to be a part. EMail me at aaronelbaz@hotmail.com . I'm going to try and recruit some of my friends as well. Unfortunately, I'm usually only available on weekends cause I always have a shitload of homework. And we can't really start any battles until firaxis releases the next patch
Heres an idea as to how we could structure the battle of Alberta. Divvy up players into two alliances, Calgary and Edmonton. THe informal victory condition (since it doesnt exactly exist) is that you have to completely destroy the opposing civs from your rival city.
Or, another fun BoA would be senslessly killing your neighbors regardless of treaties or Location. That's always fun
Neways, sounds like alot of fun. Oh, BTW, who lost to the NYRangers today. I cant quite remember

A new day and 2 new states.
Arnelos, I put you down as rural. Correct me if I am wrong. Pick a city you are closest to if you are in the suburbs.
ZargonX, same thing. I put you in Baltimore, simply because the best police show ever was situated there. If you wish to correct me and go to DC, just let me know.

I am a CTP Freak..yeah.Love it so..but have been practicing this game, gonna give it a whirl.
I am Troll, but when I try to enter it sez someone has my nic. I chose Troll during Battlefield 1942 and I believe its same server service..Gamespy??So I picked my old handle Patton. I tried to enter and it did once, but second time it refused.??
At any rate,
Troll
Jacksonville North Carolina
Cable
WIN 98 Athlon 700 256 RAM Ratheon VE
Available most evening and most weekends
I'll try to figure out why games are so laggy, I have tried 3 and all were at a snails pace.
Hope to see you soon!

Troll added.
Try finding some people close to you, Troll. Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia, Maryland maybe. The closer they are, the better it will work. I've been lucky and have found a few people in the same city as me (or very close INet wise). Also keep in mind that the host will have more lag than the clients.
I know it is not ideal, and you have to be patient to get a good game on. These are 2 of the issues being addressed in the next patch, according to Firaxis.
Hang tight, and in the mean time I hope the list helps you get some good games.

The lag killed it. Doesn't look like a 56k connection is going to do the trick. But no DSL or broadband available in my area

Here's my info.
Berduin
Illinois
Win ME
DSL
Weekday evenings, weekends.
I've been in several games, but the only ones I've gotten to work are those with 5 or fewer people. Turnless is fine with one or two opponents, but beyond that it's unbearable. Simultaneous works the best so long as everyone stays at their computers for the duration of the game.
