Truth about armies!
I don't know if someone else has noticed this...

When army attack, the army leader keeps shouting "Ho-ho-ho.."

Now, everybody here knows, who is the big guy saying "Ho-ho-ho" ...

Yep, It's Santa-Claus...

In The Netherlands we also have a Santa Claus. We call him 'Sinterklaas' and he is from Spain. On December 5th he celebrates his birthday be giving presents to little children.

But as there are so many children he has brought some helpers with him. We call them 'Zwarte Piet' (=Black Pete).

In the US, Santa is a tool of corporate America used to shake down parents every December by whipping their kids into a consuming frenzy. He works at the mall.

And he's a pervert too. " Hey kid, come and sit in Santa's lap..."

Just like Bananas in Pyjamas: Come here kid, and look at the banana in the old man's pyjama...ho ho ho

Spencer, the north pole is not in any country at all. It is located at the arctic ice cap. It is as much in Russia or Greenland as in Canada. But most myths I have heard locate Santa on Greenland.

Aaglo, only the Finnish tourist autorities believes that Santa is from Finland. They even fly stupid tourists in Concorde from London to Rouvaniemi in December to meet some dude dressed in red.

But Tattila's comment beats anything I read in a while. Ebonics? That was a new term. Perhaps an almost politically correct bad nick for the Zulu's, as you can easily refer to Germans as the "Krauts" and French as the "Frogs" without anyone complaining.

I hope this reply does not upset anyone. That was not the intention anyway.

Not so , I have a note attatched to my 'file' at work for reffering to the French as 'frogs' once in an email.

Because the depiction of what he looks like came from a priest writing a story in the early part of 20th century. They confuse that with the origin. As I understand it the xmas tree bit was started in Germany. But what does it matter anyway.

Hey, Santa Claus comes from Finland, but the original was rather nasty fellow, goat headed (santa is "Christmas Goat" in finnish) who only brought sticks to whip the nasty kids. Had you been good, no whipping, yay! Then came along Coke Company, and twisted Santa into the doo-gooder, red and white fat-so.
Boo!

Whas the frog a customer or a competitor? In the first case I can understand it, but in the latter case, just give'm hell!

I have heard an old french lady refer to Brits as "Rosbifs".

They also messed up on the helper legend. Sinterklaas doesn't have a bunch of elves, thats just the politically correct version. He has a bunch of black dudes to slave away and help him, and he comes in a boat from spain, not a sled, and has dubious turkish origins.

It's true that he also brings sticks to naughty kids so their parents can beat them soundly, and if you get sticks too often the Zwarte Piet (Black Pete) kidnaps you, takes you to spain and you get polymorphed into a zwatre piet.

The ducth can be pretty rascist if they really want to...

Santa isn't from the US but Coca-Cola and Macy's offered him huge sums of money in endorsement deals and he is now living in Beverly Hills.

I just figured it all out: Mrs Santa is a ho! Ho-ho-ho!

But why doesn't the army leader have a big white beard? Or is my monitor resolution just to small?

Dig up an old picture of, say, Robert E. Lee, or almost any other US civil war general, and you'll notice they mostly have beards. Easier to keep a beard than to shave it on the field of battle, I imagine...
